My January calendar page.......

Good morning!

We have several inches of snow on the ground right now.

WOW- what a snowy day we had yesterday!

It literally snowed all day.

I had a class & almost everyone made it.

I hated that any of us had to venture out on the roads....going wasn't too bad- but coming home it was really slick & slow going.

But Andrea had a great party regardless of Mother Nature!!  

We had lots of fun with wonderful company, snacks & of course lots of stamping!

Many ladies made multiple calendars to give away as Christmas gifts!

This is the January page that everyone made for our calendars!

Isn't Frosty just adorable!

He is one of my favorite stamped images ever.

I never dreamed that the Big Frosty we use to have would be resized 

& works perfect with our punches now! 

I just love it!

We have a friend that is bringing out her grandson to see the baby piggies this morning.

The boys are excited that they get to go out to see them too.

 Yesterday was another busy day on the farm getting in more baby piggies.

The boys were so good & had so much fun!

This morning the boys and I are off to run errands- recycle center, bank, etc....

then meeting my mom, all of my sisters & several of my nieces in Pella for lunch.

Today is our annual day that my mom takes us to tour the Christmas Homes in Pella.

The boys & I won't be touring the homes with them this year, but will get to visit with & see everyone.

We'll take my Aunt Viriginia with us too so she can eat lunch with all of us.

I am hoping we don't all freeze to death.

Tonight is the Southern Iowa Speedway Racing Banquet.

Deke will be going with Nathan.

Nathan is the 2013 Stock Car Champion this year at the track 

& will get awarded for that achievement tonight.

I won't be going with them.....as I'm swamped getting ready for my 2014 Calendar Class that I have on Sunday.

I have LOTS of creating & cutting to do & praying I have good mojo.

She is an angel!

Good morning!

Here is a pretty angel that I cased from Pinterest.

I think that possibly Cindee Wilkensen might have been one of the creators for 

the bow angels.

Isn't she cute?

 Do you see the new gold twine......cool huh!

It is a sneak peek at a new product in the upcoming Occasion Catalog,

She only takes a few minutes to make. 

Here's what you need:

Gift Bow Bigz Die
1 1/4" Circle Punch
1 3/8" Circle Punch
1 3/4" Circle Punch
Word Window Punch
Brushed Gold Cardstock-arms and body (Gift bow Die)
Pink Pirouette Cardstock-face and arms
Champagne Glimmer Paper-halo
Vanilla Cardstock, 7/8" x 4 3/4" (banner)
Sassy Salutations Stamp Set
Cherry Cobbler Ink
Multipurpose Glue

 I die cut two bow tails and two of the small bows in Brushed Gold. Adhere the two small bow tails together so it forms her body. Use your bone folder to curl the arms and glue the tabs together. I first punched a 1 1/4" Circle from the Glimmer paper, then punched the 1 3/4" Circle over that, keeping the 1 3/4" punch down and center, so there was a little gap between the halo and the face. Glue that to the body. Punch a hole in the top and add your gold cording.  I added the face to the halo with glue and then glued that to the body.  Punch one Window Word and cut in half. Those are her hands and you can see my photo for placement.   

NOTE:  

If you want the words on your angel- be sure to stamp that first before you put her all together.

The boys are excited!

We will be spending our morning outside on the farm with Papa.

Tonight Nathan & Deke are going to the Iowa BB game.

So.....I'll be home alone.

I love 2 step stampin'!

 Good morning!
Here is a pretty card that I helped my downline Cindy create for our last downline meeting!

I LOVE this stamp set!

And I'm not a huge pink lover- but I love these two colors of pink together.

And man do I love banners or flags (whichever you call them).

I seem to use them often when I'm creating.

I'm not sure what I use to do before without them!

This stamp set is awesome for doing the 2 step stamping!

I only used ONE color of ink to create both of these colors on this flower.....

I just stamped off on my grid paper for the bigger image before stamping in onto my card stock & then reinked my stamp with the smaller image & stamped it full strength!

Now to get Birthday cards all done today so I can work on calendars for next weeks classes.

Yesterday afternoon I got some stamps delivered, got groceries, 
went to the cemetery to put a wreath & flowers on my dads stone 
& back home to get pumpkins & fall things out of our yard.

I also got my wreaths up by our outside doors & put new red bows on them.

I'd like to get my garland & lights around our porch & my tree up today too.

We'll see how much I can get done.
