Thankful for.....a 'Truly Grateful' card.....

Good morning!!
Here is a card that made for my September monthly swap that I'm in.

(Yep- I'm early & probably shouldn't share it yet on my blog,
but I don't have any pictures taken of any other cards yet to share.
So if you are in that swap with me- you'll be getting this card next month.)

This is the same layout as one of the cards I did for my August workshops-
but I just changed the stamp set.
Here is the one that I posted earlier this month.

'Truly Grateful'

dp:  Sweater Weather
ink:  Versamark & Chocolate Chip

Check out the fun fold!

What a fun night we had at the races celebrating Nathan's birthday last night.
Nathan got 3rd in his heat; started 10th in the main & finished 2nd by only 1/4 of a car length.
He drove his friend Blaine's car & looked really good!

Today is a catch up day at our house!
Oh my gosh......I have tons of laundry to do, bills to pay, stamping to do, etc.
But before I can ever stamp I need to clean my Studio- as it is a disaster!
We offered to do birthday suppers tonight for Nathan & Steve- but not positive that is going to end up working out for everyone's schedules- we will see.

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday
and enjoy your weekend!!
Happy Stamping!

A sweet 'Summer Silhouettes' card....

Good morning!!
Here is a sweet card that my downline Judy Hopping created & gave to me.
She cased the layout from this card that I posted earlier.
I love how hers turned out!!
And she used one of my favorite color combinations too!
The ribbon bow is just so stunning & easy to make!

He has reached to great lengths to become a very successful person.
And he is a great dad too.
We are very proud of him!
And we are lucky that he lives only 4 miles away from us & we get to see him often.
Happy Birthday to Nathan!!
And good luck at the races tonight.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

Here is another faux iris card....

Good morning!
Here is another faux iris card that I did for a monthly swap that I'm in.
What a fun & easy technique to do.
I will update this post later today with the supply list.

Check out the fold......it is an easel card!

School got out early yesterday due to the heat, so Brayden spent the afternoon with us.
He liked his first day in Kindergarten.
The twins were excited when he woke them up from their naps!
They were happy to see him & get to play with him.

We had a late night racing last night.
Nathan got 8th......struggled with the set up in his heat & had to start 12th in the main.
But at least he finished in one piece.
We'll be racing in Columbus Junction tomorrow night- so hoping he has better luck then.
He is still leading the points in Oskaloosa & Columbus Junction.
So over all he has had a good year
& been pretty consistent with being in the top 5 most nights.

The twins spent the night with us when we got home from the races.
As we are hoping they sleep in some since they had a late night.
We will have a busy day today as I have several errands to run.
(bank, post office, etc.)
Deke is gone to meetings all day, so it will just be us.

I hope you have a great Thursday!
Happy Stamping!

Today is the first day of school in Sigourney for Manda & Brayden.
Wow.....where did the summer go??
I hope they both have a very good year!

Tonight we race in Osky!
I hope Nathan & the #52 team have good luck!
I think the twins will end up spending the night with us afterwards, since we'll be getting home late.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Happy Stamping!

I can't wait to hear all about his first day of school!

And I did the faux iris technique again.
Did you notice the cool little

Isn't it cool!
I love the designer paper too!

The guys worked in the shop last night & Brayden ended up staying over night with us.
So he will be here now today to play with the twins!
It will be his last day here as he starts kindergarten tomorrow.
Think it is going to be as hard seeing him going off to school as it was our own kids.
I can't believe that he is that old & so grown up!
He has his open house in his classroom tonight.
So glad that his mom, dad & him will all be going.

Tonight I'm a farmer helping Deke outside.
We sell hogs......wishing for cooler temps.
And praying for some much needed rain!
We sure need some for the corn & bean crops.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

I love fall!

WOW- what a FUN day of company & stamping we had at my downline meeting yesterday.
I went & got groceries after our meeting.
Then home to make supper.
(Deke's favorite- wilted lettuce & dumplings.)
We then decided to go to the river & visit my sister & brother-in-law
(Beckie & Dan), that were camping!
We don't ever make time to do things like that.
And we are so glad that we went!
It was a beautiful night sitting around the campfire & chatting!

Today I'm canning tomatoes & catching up on a ton of things here.
I'm not often home on Sundays, as usually I have a stamp class- so I'm going to ENJOY my day here with LOTS to get checked off on my "to do list"!

I hope you have a blessed Sunday!
Happy Stamping!

Lovin' the Orange Glitter with the 'Halloween Happiness'!

Happy Friday!!
Wow- I finally got to my Studio to stamp about 11 last night.
Here is a quick card that I made....
I played with the new Orange Glitter & I LOVE IT!
I was also wanting the pumpkin "smile" to have a yellow glow.
I tried to color it in with a marker & it just looked messy.
So I inked the pumpkin image directly onto the stamp with the Pumpkin Pie marker & stamped it onto Daffodil Delight card stock, then cut it out & popped it up!
 So what do you think?
I love the sparkle & the bright smile!

'Halloween Happiness'
cs:  Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight
ink:  Black Stazon
markers:  Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive
supplies:  Witches Brew Washi Tape, 2 way glue pen, Orange Glitter, Bit Shot, Oval Collection framelits, paper snips

Last night I enjoyed my road trip delivering stamps.
It was nice to see so many & visit a bit along the way.
The guys worked in the shop late last night.
I brought home Casey's pizza & we ate the shop together.
Brayden loves eating supper together in the shop.
Today is another busy day with the boys.
The guys are off to the races in Columbus Junction tonight.
I'll be in my Studio stamping- literally all night I'm sure!
I have a big downline meeting tomorrow & I have swaps & shoe box swaps to do for it!
I am looking forward to seeing my group & adoptees though!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

A special 'Thank You So Much' card!

Good morning!
Today I'm sharing a very special thank you card!!

When I presented at convention last month I worked with Donna Griffith at Stampin' Up! for several weeks preparing.
And then the week of convention she was our gang leader (to speak of) for our group that was presenting together for our rehearsals, etc.
Donna is so sweet & I'm blessed to have to gotten to know her
(& other staff at Stampin' Up!) even better as I worked with them all.
Right before Opening General Session started at Convention (on Thursday night) I called Deke to check on things at home.
He was so excited that he had just gotten a really cool thank you card in the mail that day from Donna.
Yes- it was a card addressed to him- for him!
She wrote an awesome note to him inside thanking him for being such a supportive husband with all I do with Stampin' Up!
We were both really touched by her beautiful card & her thoughtfulness!
I don't have this stamp set- 'Clockworks' yet- but have added it to my Wish List!
This is a great guy card!

'Clockworks' & 'Lots of Thanks'
cs:  Crumb Cake, Basic Gray & Crushed Curry
ink:  Curshed Curry, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Perfect Plum
supplies:  Big Shot, Chevron embossing folder

Ok......gotta run......
I hope you have a wonderful day today!
Happy Stamping!

My cute 'Halloween Hello' Faux Iris card......

Good morning!
Here is the Faux Iris technique I did on my 'Halloween Hello' card.
This is one of the cards everyone did that joined me at my August workshops.
I think that this little witch is so stinkin' cute!
 'Halloween Hello'
ink:  Jet Black Stazon
cs:  Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Summer Starfruit
dp:  Witches Brew
supplies:  Big Shot, Tasteful Trim die, Label Card Thinlit die (for the banner), dimensionals, glue dot, Summer Starfruit ribbon, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 2 1/2" Circle Punch

Here is one I did with the skull.
He is a bit scary looking to me.
I had a fun day yesterday with all of my boys!
They sure love each other & have so much fun together.

It was a nice, cool night last night to sort, load & sell hogs.
Brayden was still here to help us & he had so much fun!
He is so sweet!
He so loves the farm & all animals.
He got to go in the trailer with the trucker (Scout) & see all about it.
He also got to stand on the loading chute with Scout & help him.
It was so cute!
His smile was priceless!

Today I'm off to Osky for a quick trip early this morning to run some errands
& deliver some stamp orders.
Then I'm home to spend the rest of the day with the boys.
Deke is gone all day to meetings.

Aunt Kathy got some tomatoes in Frytown yesterday for me.
They will all need to be canned- but don't think that they will be ready to do yet tonight.
So I am planning on sorting & getting stamp orders ready for my delivery tomorrow night.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Happy Stamping!

Beautifully Baroque.....

Hello!
Today I'm sharing an awesome card that my dowline Dawn Klein created.
This was a card that she gave to me at convention.
I think that it was one of her August workshop cards- but I'm not positive.
Anyways.....
Don't you just love it!
She has a very vintage style & I love receiving cards from her.
'A Dozen Thoughts' & 'Lovely Romance'
cs:  Whisper White, Smoky Slate
dp:  Eastern Elegance
ink:  Basic Gray
supplies:  Big Shot, Beautifully Baroque embossing folder, Crushed Curry 3/4" Chevron ribbon,  Basic Rhinestone, Oval framelits, Designer Frame embossing folder

I am having a downline meeting on this coming Saturday!
Woo Hoo!
I can't wait to see Dawn & each one of the ladies in my 'Iowa Inkers' team.
PLUS I've invited many of my adoptee sidelines in our 'Glitter Gals'  group to join us too.
I have lots of stamping I need to get done between now & then.....now to find time to do it!
I'll be burning the midnight oil on Friday night getting everything ready for it
at the last minute I'm sure, as I don't know if I'm going to have time to do it before then.

So we have enough now to get us through the winter.
It sure will taste good & be worth the time & effort freezing it
as we are enjoying it in the months to come.
(And I must admit that I am thankful that Deke helped me freeze it last night- as last Friday night I froze corn alone & it is so much faster with help- plus I enjoyed the company!)
