Oh Mr. Gingerbread Man!

Good morning-
I'm lovin' this little gingerbread man!!  He has such a big smile!  Wish my little guy did.....we have a sick little boy (Brody).  He got sick yesterday.  I feel so bad for him.  Hope he is better soon.  Yesterday was a long day.  We spent most of our day in the rocking chair- cuddling.   I am hoping he & everyone at their home got some sleep last night.  I'll find out soon when they get here, as Manda has an early meeting today, so they will be here soon.

It is always nice to have them here.
The twins were so excited to see Brayden.
It was precious to see their faces light up when he walked in the door.

Deke has meetings again all day today.
We sell hogs tonight.
I didn't make it to my stamp room at all yesterday- so hope to get there sometime today.

Have a great day!

Oh Christmas Tree......

Good morning!

Here is a pretty Christmas Tree.

I really like this stamp set.  The more I do with it the more I fall in love with it.   I used alot of product out of the Holiday Catalog when I was creating this card.

'Evergreen' & 'More Merry Messages'
cs:  Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler & Champagne Glimmer 12x12 paper
ink:  Versamark & Cherry Cobbler
supplies:  Big Shot, Apothecary Accent Framelit, Holiday Frame embossing folder, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Embossing Buddy, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon, dimensionals
WOW!!  Back to reality today.  What a whirl wind of a holiday weekend.  We got alot done, but have lots more that we didn't get checked off of our list.  I will have to stay up some nights this week & get things done.

Yesterday morning I worked on making some personal cards- sympathy, anniversary, birthday- that I needed to get done.  Then in the afternoon Manda, the twins & I enjoyed going to Jenny's party & got a few groceries afterwards.  Deke & I put up our pre-lit tree last night.  We were so bummed that we couldn't get a few of the lights to work on it.  We decided that it would work for this year & we'll buy a new Christmas tree after the holidays when they are on sale & we will throw this one away when we take it down after Christmas.  It is all decorated & looks very pretty!!  I put silver garland beads on it this year instead of my usual tinsel.  It looks different- but nice.  I am so HAPPY that Deke helped me put it up & decorate it this year.

We all have a busy week here.  Deke will be gone during the day to meetings all week for Board of Supervisor stuff, except for Friday.  So that means late nights on the farm as he still has all of the work here to do too when he gets home.  I am still putting stuff away from my November workshops & need to get busy & get my calendars created & cut for my December workshops.  I can't believe that next Sunday will already be my first workshop for the month!!  WOW- seems like November just flew by.  Christmas is now less than a month away.  YIKES....I haven't bought any gifts yet & don't have time to go shopping until after the 15th!

Hope you all have a fabulous day!
Happy Stamping!

Peace on Earth

Good morning!
Here is a pretty embossed angel.....

'Rejoicing with You' & 'Greetings of the Season'
cs:  Basic Gray, Whisper White, Champagne Glimmer 12x12 paper
ink:  Basic Gray & Versamark pad
supplies:  Heat Tool, embossing buddy, Gold Embossing powder, Silver Embossing Powder, dimensionals
Yesterday I had a great time with Shanoah, Chelsea & Cheryl figuring out a wedding invite.
It is going to be an elegant victorian wedding.
I love the invites!

When they left I started stamping.
I now have my November & December birthday cards all done!
YIPEE!!
Deke did bring the skid loader down & helped me get rid of our fall flower pots & pumpkins in our yard yesterday afternoon.
I got the christmas wreaths hung up at my doors.
It was chilly out & didn't take much time to get done.

Today I'm hoping Deke & I get our lights up outside on our house since it is to be in the mid 40's.
Then this afternoon I am looking forward to going to a party with Manda at a friend of ours home.
We'll do a quick Walmart run while we are out.
The twins are going with us.
And I'll be stamping every spare minute I'm home.
My table with projects from November parties is still piled high & I have to get it all put away.
Gotta run......

I hope you have a wonderful day!
Happy Stamping!

An Elegant bird......

Good morning!
Here is a card that I got from Shelli & Sara as a swap at Founders.
It is very elegant!
Notice all of the detail in it.
'Gently Falling' & 'Loving Thoughts'
cs:  Naturals White, Island Indigo
ink:  Island Indigo, Versamark pad
marker:  Island Indigo
supplies:  Big Shot, Elegant Bird die, Heat Tool, Gold embossing powder, sponge, Linen Thread, Champagne Shimmer paint, dimensional, Color Spritzer tool
I love it!
It is so the Shelli & Sara style.
I am assuming they made a cut out of the bird die & then used it as a stencil to get the look above- using the Champagne Shimmer Paint & a sponge.

Yesterday I spent most of the day doing bookwork for personal, SU! & farm stuff.
There just aren't enough hours in a day to keep up with things around here.

We did go to my sister Beckie's for supper so that we could visit & see my nephew Ben, his wife Jenna & son Lawson, as we haven't seen them since Easter.
It was a very nice evening!!

I am meeting with Shanoah this morning to work on her wedding invites.
Looking forward to this.

Then I have a mile long list of stamping things that I personally need to get done-
birthday cards, sympathy, anniversary, etc.

Tomorrow I have to go to a friends Thirty One party in the afternoon- but will be working on stamping stuff every spare minute I'm home.....as I need to get things cleaned out of baskets from all of my November workshops so that I can put them away & be able to find things & get ready for Decembers calendar classes.  LOTS to do!!  My first calendar class is a week from Sunday!

Hope you have a fantastic day!
Happy Stamping!

I hope you have a fabulous day!
I'm sure some of you will be working & some of you will be shopping.
I am not a shopper- little alone when there is a crowd.
I'm home all day & excited about that.
I'm going to do bookwork & run to the bank this morning.
Then this afternoon I need to make some sympathy cards & clean my stamp studio.
Tomorrow Shanoah is coming to work on her wedding invites.
So need to get ready for that.
And I've got to get my calendars figured out & start cutting them.
My fist calendar class is next weekend!
YIPEE!

Happy Stamping!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Good morning!

I'm off to help unload baby piggies.
We are going to my sister Beckie & Dan's home for Thanksgiving dinner.
I know I have LOTS to be thankful for.
I count my blessings each day.
Each of you are some of my blessings.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Here is a cute fall card that I did for October Birthday's.
(I need to work on getting November's done- haven't gotten that far yet & the month is almost over with).

'Gently Falling', 'En Francais'& 'Sassy Salutation'
cs:  Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, More Mustard, Very Vanilla
ink:  Early Espresso, More Mustard & Cajun Craze

Here is a sneak peek of a NEW set in the upcomig Occasion Catalog.

Good morning!  Here is the card that I made Manda for her birthday last weekend.  It is made using a new stamp set that will be available to purchase in the upcoming NEW Occasions Catalog beginning 01/03/13.

'Feel Goods'
cs:  Baja Breeze, Primerose Petals, Whisper White
Patio Party Designer Paper
ink:  Midnight Muse
supplies:  White Gel Pen, Basic Pearls, dimensionals, Elegant Butterfly punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, Big Shot, Tasteful Trim die

 Gosh- I LOVE this QUOTE!
This is a cool new stamp set.
Wait until you see the rest of the stamps that are in this set.
Heck- wait until you see the Occasion Catalog.
IT IS AMAZING!!!
I don't know how SU! can come up with so many awesome new products to share with us.
But I am thrilled they do & I can't wait to share them with you in the coming months!
Watch out- I have LOTS to share!

School gets out early today.
I have noodles to make & several things to get done in preparation for Thanksgiving tomorrow.
Gosh......we have so much to be thankful for this year!
Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined a year ago that I'd be home caring for the twins & making sure that Brody didn't miss a beat in his learning after his surgery.  And he is remarkably super smart & advanced for his age.  This is so rewarding!  I'm thankful that Deke & I get to enjoy the boys each day, share in their growing up & hopefully make it easier for Manda & Steve to not worry about them while they are at work.

The boys & I sure had a fun day yesterday helping Papa with his new baby piggies.
(If you couldn't tell by seeing the photos I posted yesterday afternoon.)
After spending our morning outside we came in to eat lunch, get hair cuts, take their baths AND then they both slept for a couple of hours.
Guess we wore them out.
I know I was tired too.

Tomorrow morning we get the rest of our baby piggies delivered.
Hoping that Brayden can come help- as he is a true farm boy & loves anything to do with the farm.
I know he felt bad he didn't get to help us yesterday since he had pre-school.

Happy Hump Day!
Hugs!

Our farm boys!!

Brody is helping chase the baby piggies into their pen.
And Drake was following right behind them.
They are checking out the water nipples.
And liked playing in the water.
Lovin' the squeal of the boys sharing their excitement of the new baby piggies.
Look at Brody's smile!
Even Drake was lovin' the baby piggies this time.
Last time he wasn't so sure about them.
Here is an adorable photo of Papa Deke with Brody & Drake.
They were filling up the feed cart so they could feed the babies.
Here they are feeding them.

How blessed we are!
It is so much fun to be able to share our love of farm life with our grandsons.
Brayden had pre-school today so couldn't help.
But he informed me on Sunday that he didn't have school on Thursday because it was Thanksgiving- so he'd be here to help Papa.
YEP- we do get baby piggies in on Thanksgiving morning.
It doesn't matter what day of the week, what the weather is like, if you are sick or whatever.....
things must still be done on the farm!

Blessings-
SUSIE

I love the diagonal gate fold.
I sponged the embossing along the bottom edge with the white craft ink to help it pop out.
What do you think?
A simple,cute, fun fold!
We sell hogs tonight too- so I'll head out there again as soon as the twins leave.
So alot of my day/night will be spent out on the farm today.
I love being a farmer though!
I so miss my days being outside with Deke all day long every day.
For 10 years that was all we did when we had a farrowing operation.

I hope you have a great day!

POTATO SOUP
(Crock Pot Recipe)

1 can Campbells Cream of Celery Soup
1 can Campbells Cream of Chicken Soup
1 can Campbells Cheddar Cheese Soup
1 can Swans Chicken Broth
3 cans evaporated milk (you can use regular milk, but evaporated makes it thicker/creamer)
1 pkg of real bacon bits
1 pkg of frozen hash browns-THAWED (little diced squares)

Mix all together & put in crock pot.  I add salt, pepper, garlic & onion salt to taste.

I cook this on high in the crock pot for approx. 4-5 hours. Be sure to stir occasionally so that is doesn't scorch & stick to the sides.

It a yummy & fast soup to throw together!

ENJOY!
SUSIE

Notes:
*Yesterday I put it in the crock pot at 7 am & turned it down on low about 11 am & we ate it at noon.  The longer you cook it the thicker it gets.
*This recipe was shared from my friend/downline Angie Gamball.  Her recipe is that she just warms it up on the stove for approx. 40 minutes or so if you don't want to put it into the crock pot.  You'll just want to make sure that the potatoes are cooked.

'Scensational Season' MUG

Good morning!

WOW a busy day yesterday.....but enjoyed it.  LOVED stamping with all of the gals yesterday that came to make their Christmas cards.  We had a fun day!

'Scensational Season' & 'More Merry Messages'
cs:  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
ink:  Crumb Cake & Early Espresso
supplies:  Big Shot, Holiday Collection Framelits, 2 way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain ribbon

We had a nice time at the racing banquet last night- celebrating Nathan's racing accomplishments & Manda's birthday.  It was great to see so many of our racing friends that we haven't seen for a couple of months.  The boys were all really good.  The food was good- pork loins, cheesy potatoes, green beans, pasta salad & rolls (sounds like something I would have made).

We are home today!!  There aren't many Sundays that I don't have stamp classes.  I have plenty to do.  Deke has alot to get done outside too since he is home all day also.  He needs to get all of the buildings put back together & ready for our baby piggies that come this week on Tuesday & Thursday.

Brayden stayed all night with us last night after the banquet so we've been playing tractors this morning & reading books.  He is excited that Thursday is Thanksgiving & he has the day off of pre-school & Papa gets baby piggies in that morning so he gets to come to the farm & help us!  And then we are all going to my sister Beckies' home for our Thanksgiving dinner.

I'm off now to do dishes from yesterday (my potato soup was a big hit) & pick up my Stamp Studio.  We literally walked out the door minutes after everyone left from making cards yesterday to go to the banquet so I haven't gotten all of that done yet.

I hope I find some time to do some stamping yet later this afternoon too.  I have to get my calendar figured out for my December classes so that I can get my 12x12 card stock ordered for it!

Hope you have a fabulous day!
Happy Stamping!
ENJOY!
