POTATO SOUP
(Crock Pot Recipe)

1 can Campbells Cream of Celery Soup
1 can Campbells Cream of Chicken Soup
1 can Campbells Cheddar Cheese Soup
1 can Swans Chicken Broth
3 cans evaporated milk (you can use regular milk, but evaporated makes it thicker/creamer)
1 pkg of real bacon bits
1 pkg of frozen hash browns-THAWED (little diced squares)

Mix all together & put in crock pot.  I add salt, pepper, garlic & onion salt to taste.

I cook this on high in the crock pot for approx. 4-5 hours. Be sure to stir occasionally so that is doesn't scorch & stick to the sides.

It a yummy & fast soup to throw together!

ENJOY!
SUSIE

Notes:
*Yesterday I put it in the crock pot at 7 am & turned it down on low about 11 am & we ate it at noon.  The longer you cook it the thicker it gets.
*This recipe was shared from my friend/downline Angie Gamball.  Her recipe is that she just warms it up on the stove for approx. 40 minutes or so if you don't want to put it into the crock pot.  You'll just want to make sure that the potatoes are cooked.

'Scensational Season' MUG

Good morning!

WOW a busy day yesterday.....but enjoyed it.  LOVED stamping with all of the gals yesterday that came to make their Christmas cards.  We had a fun day!

'Scensational Season' & 'More Merry Messages'
cs:  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
ink:  Crumb Cake & Early Espresso
supplies:  Big Shot, Holiday Collection Framelits, 2 way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain ribbon

We had a nice time at the racing banquet last night- celebrating Nathan's racing accomplishments & Manda's birthday.  It was great to see so many of our racing friends that we haven't seen for a couple of months.  The boys were all really good.  The food was good- pork loins, cheesy potatoes, green beans, pasta salad & rolls (sounds like something I would have made).

We are home today!!  There aren't many Sundays that I don't have stamp classes.  I have plenty to do.  Deke has alot to get done outside too since he is home all day also.  He needs to get all of the buildings put back together & ready for our baby piggies that come this week on Tuesday & Thursday.

Brayden stayed all night with us last night after the banquet so we've been playing tractors this morning & reading books.  He is excited that Thursday is Thanksgiving & he has the day off of pre-school & Papa gets baby piggies in that morning so he gets to come to the farm & help us!  And then we are all going to my sister Beckies' home for our Thanksgiving dinner.

I'm off now to do dishes from yesterday (my potato soup was a big hit) & pick up my Stamp Studio.  We literally walked out the door minutes after everyone left from making cards yesterday to go to the banquet so I haven't gotten all of that done yet.

I hope I find some time to do some stamping yet later this afternoon too.  I have to get my calendar figured out for my December classes so that I can get my 12x12 card stock ordered for it!

Hope you have a fabulous day!
Happy Stamping!
ENJOY!

Another 'Bold Snowflake'

Good morning!

WOW- wishing our beautiful daughter a very Happy Birthday today!!  What a special woman she has grown up to be.  She is a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, teacher, friend, etc.  We are so proud of her!  Love ya Manda!

Today I want to share another 'Bold Snowflake' card.  It is the exact same colors as the one I posted yesterday, but it is just a different fold.

I'll update this with the supply list tomorrow.
I just love this stamp set- so striking!
Today is my Christmas card class & I'm trying to get everything ready for that.  Looking forward to spending my day with a few friends stamping.  I sitll have alot I want to get done before everyone gets here.  I have pumpkin bars baking & potatoe soup is in the crock pot.

Tonight we have Nathan's racing banquet for the Southern Iowa Speedway in Osky to celebrate the 2012 racing season there.  We will all be going together as a family- including our little racing fans!
And of course the rest of our racing family- Mark, Beth & Josh too.

Here is a great family photo of Manda, Steve, Brody & Drake.

Still can't believe she is my baby.
Where does time go?

Ok.....gotta run.
Have a great day!!
Happy Stamping!

I enjoyed my evening last night on my stamp delivery mission.
I got to visit with & see many friends.
Came home & made supper (meatballs & cheesy potatoes).
Then made some carmel popcorn for Deke & me to enjoy.
It was YUMMY.....and makes me think of my Great- Grandma Fern.
She made alot of carmel popcorn & I have many fond memories of lots of time spent with her.
She only lived a few blocks from our home & we saw her almost daily.
Then when I was married & she had to go to the nursing home, our kids & I visited her several times per week.
She was a gem!

I'm up bright & early this morning baking 2 pans of chocolate chip cookie bars.
Manda's birthday is tomorrow & she is to take treats to school today.....so I offered to make them.
Warm cookies of any kind are yummy.
Hope everyone at school enjoys them.

Ok.....hoping the boys play well today & G'ma can get lots of card stock cut.
I'm  headed to my stamp studio now to get some more cut before they get here.
I still have lots to do for my Christmas card class that is tomorrow.
I am looking forward to stamping with a hand full of gals.
But I have LOTS of KITS that I need to get done & get them delivered to those that ordered kits & couldn't actually attend my class tomorrow.
As I want those gals to get their Christmas cards all stamped & finished soon too.

Hope you have a great day!

Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine

Due to our partnership with Sizzix, we are pleased to be able to offer a test run of the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine in our North American markets. We have 4,000 available to be sold only while supplies last. If this product test goes well, we may offer the Texture Boutique again in the future.
The Texture Boutique works with Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to transform ordinary cardstock, paper, metallic foil, or vellum into an embossed, textured masterpiece. This machine embosses only; it does not die cut. Because this is a product test, the Texture Boutique is not branded with the Stampin' Up! logo. It comes in Sizzix packaging and is the same color and design that is sold in stores. We recommend you read the included instructions before using the Texture Boutique and that you pass the same recommendation on to customers who purchase it.
'Tis the season of giving, and the Texture Boutique makes a wonderful gift for anyone who wants to create their own elegant embossed art. To help you with your gift-giving needs, we're offering a special value bundle that saves you $5.90. If you prefer, you can also purchase the Texture Boutique alone. Looking for stocking stuffers? Pick up some additional embossing folders.

I made a quick trip to Osky to deposit our hog check last night.
And had to run into Walmart to buy a new coffee pot, as mine died  yesterday.
Then spent my evening cutting & mounting stamp sets!

It is another busy day here on our farm.
Deke's Uncle Joe is here to help pump our lagoons.
We need to get that done before winter.
Thankfully Deke is home today- he has had meetings the rest of the week.
He has to run into the courthouse for a bit later to sign a bunch of papers- but hopefully not be gone for more than an hour.
I'm headed to Iowa City tonight when the boys leave to make my stamp delivery run.
I'll make lots of stops along the way to & from.
I'm still cutting card stock for my Christmas card class.
The list doesn't seem to be getting much shorter- but I sure have lots of big piles of card stock.
I'm excited to have so many customers making their Christmas cards again this year!
I am happy that I am helping them out by doing all of their cutting for them.
Several of them are actually coming to our home on Saturday to make their cards!

'Ornament Keepsakes'

Good morning!

This is a card that everyone did at Linda's Christmas card Stamp-a-Stack class last weekend.  It is very similar to a card that I got at Founders from Julie Davidson.  Loved that it was a true 'Christmas' colored card & show cases several neat products from our awesome Holiday Catalog!

'Ornament Keepsakes' & 'More Many Messages'
cs:  Real Red, Whisper White & Early Espresso
Gumball Green Core'dination
ink:  Early Espresso & Gumball Green
supplies:  Big Shot, Holiday Framelits, Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Sanding Block, Real Red 1/8" Taffeta ribbon, glue dot, dimensionals, rhinestone (colored with a red Sharpie marker)
I enjoyed my sister Julie visiting yesterday afternoon & helping out with the twins.
Cut Steven's hair last night & then ran to town for Pizza Ranch for our supper.
Nice evening spent with my sister Julie & the Seeley family at our home.
Here is a picture Aunt Julie took of the twins being silly.
Brody is holding Steven's Mt. Dew & you'd think they had some of it with how silly they were being.
 Love those smiles.
And too bad you can't hear their laughs too!

I have a long list of to do's today that have to be done before I can go to bed tonight....
  •  Lots of stamps to sort & get ready for delivery that the UPS man delivered late yesterday afternoon.
  • Lots of Christmas card "KITS" to get done & several of them that need to be delivered to my Hiawatha area gals.
  • Lots of cards to cut for Nancy & Lynda's workshop tomorrow.
  • Lots of meatballs to make for our supper at Deke's parents for tonight.
We are looking forward to meeting Katie & seeing Collyn's tonight- our 2 youngest great- nieces.
Deke's family doesn't get together very often.

'Scentsational Season' Tree Twist card

Happy Friday!
Here is a card that I'll be sharing at my workshops this month.  It is a cool TWIST card.  All of the ladies made it last night & it was a big hit!

'Scentsational Season', 'Border Banter' & More Merry Messages

cs:  Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Snow Festival Designer Paper
ink:  Gumball Green & Cherry Cobbler
supplies:  Big Shot, Holiday Collection Framelits, Rhinestones (colored in with a permanent red marker), Merry Minis (star), Paper Piercing tool & mat, dimensionals, glue dot, 2 1/2" Circle punch, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch
The inside has a pocket that you can keep open or glue shut.
This would make a great pocket for a gift card, money or a note!
Just think of the possibilities you could create using the TWIST fold!
And it fits into our Medium envelopes.
  • card stock= 4 1/4 x 11"
  • score diagonally from corner to corner (the long direction)
  • fold on scored line
  • then fold in half like a card
  • decorate however you choose
  • Easy!
I had a great group of ladies that joined me to stamp last night.
I enjoyed my evening & I think they did too.
We even had a husband join us for the evening to watch & visit.
He was the chauffeur for his wife who is on crutches.

Today I'm home all day with the twins.
I have to clean the house from class last night & cut card stock & repack for my workshop on Sunday.
Nancy & Lynda are going to be co-hostesses.
They have TONS of friends joining them for the afternoon to stamp!
If everyone comes that has RSPV'd it will be my biggest workshop ever.
Woohoo!!
I'm excited to share with them!!

My brother in-law & sister-in-law from Illinois are home with their family from Pennsylvania joining them including their new grand-daughter Katie (whom we have never met yet).
I can't wait!
So we are looking forward to spending time with Deke's family this weekend.
We will all be getting together tomorrow evening at his parents home.
(Which is right beside our home.)
I'm bringing the meatballs for supper.
All five of the great-grandkids will all be under the same roof at the same time for the first time ever.

Have a great day!!
Happy Stamping!
