Beautiful Butterflies- WOW!

Check out this gorgeous card!

I love the way it turned out.

It is a totally Susie card.

This is one of the cards that everyone joining me at 

my February monthly classes will be making.

I used the

 As it is a fun fold card! 

The butterfly center opens up for the card. 

And don't you LOVE the embossed butterflies that are in the background?

I embossed them using the lighter side of the

#166669- DAFFODIL DELIGHT 12" X 12" TWO-TONE CARDSTOCK (12 sheets)= $10.00  

Notice how the embossed butterflies show some 'white'.

I lightly sanded the embossed butterflies so that the white would show through.

 

How did I color the butterfly?

*I stamped it onto Basic White card stock using Memento ink

*Die cut the butterfly

*Color the butterfly by adding some Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends along some of

the inside butterfly sections.

*Then color the whole entire butterfly (going over the Pumpkin Pie color) using 

a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend.

*I added a little Wink of Stella over a FEW of the butterfly sections.

• Daffodil Delight- 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"- for card base
  
• Daffodil Delight- 5 x 8"- score at 4" & die cut butterfly card piece
  
• Basic Black- 4 x 5 1/4"
  
• Two-Toned Daffodil Delight- 3 3/4 x 5"- emboss using Beautiful Butterflies Embossing Folder
  
• Basic White- 4 1/4" strip- die cut butterfly
• Basic White- 1/2" strip
  

ink:  Memento

Stampin' Blends:  Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie

other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine; Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing Folder/Dies; Specialty Plate; Gold 1/2" Open Weave Ribbon; Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins;Wink of Stella dimensionals; glue dots
