I just think that this card is gorgeous!

 

So this what I ended up deciding on using with he Hues of Happiness DSP.

This birthday card is the card I created for my mom's birthday- 

which is today!

I ended up liking this card so much I decided it would be 

one of my September monthly class cards too!

Soft Seedlings Faux Suede Technique

This is one of my monthly class cards.

Isn't it a pretty Fall card!

 

I used the 'Soft Seedlings' stamp set.

And I did the Faux Suede technique over the leaf,

by adding crinkled up tissue paper over it.

Aren't all of the colors in this just so pretty!

How did I do it?

1. Ink leaf stamp using the Crushed Curry ink pad.
2. Using a sponge dauber & Cajun Craze ink- tap ink around edges of the leaf.
3. Using a sponge dauber & Soft Suede ink pad- tap ink onto stems & veins of leaf.
4. Huff  (breath) onto the stamp to moisten the ink.
5. Press onto your card stock.
6. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue & a sponge- tap a light coat of glue all over ENTIRE piece of cardstock.  Be sure you get the glue along the edges & corners too.
7. Roll up & crinkle a piece of  wrapping tissue paper & carefully open it up.  You want to keep the wrinkles in it.
8. Carefully lay the crinkled tissue paper over the top of the leaf & press it down.  DO NOT smooth it- as you want it wrinkled!  So pressing straight downward to make sure it is stuck all over the entire image- including the edges & corners.  
9. Now you can trim the excess tissue paper off around the edges using scissors or you can fold the edges to the back side & leave them.

• Crumb Cake- 2 3/4 x 3 3/4"
• Very Vanilla- 2 1/2 x 3 1/2"- stamp leaf onto
• Very Vanilla- 1" strip- stamp words onto & punch out with Double Oval Punch
• Very Vanilla- 4 x 5 1/4"- for inside of card

Do you like THIS OR THAT?

 

I think that these words from the 'Happiness Abounds' stamp set

work perfectly when stamped inside this rectangle die & on this card.

Don't you?

Notice how I used the Split Card Textures Dies

AND I added some of the little squares back into the spots for some added dimension.

 

Along the bottom I embossed using the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.

How did I get the ripped edge?

I laid the die over the top of the embossed CS piece & ripped

towards me, using the die edge as a guide.

Butterfly Kisses

This is a bright & cheery card using the Butterfly Kisses DSP!

It is clean, simple & so cute!

I did use my scissors to fussy cut this little butterfly out of the DSP.

And then I layered the butterfly onto stitched circles

from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Rustic Harvest Suite

 WOW!

Here is a totally Susie card, using the Hello Harvest Bundle!

I just love these fall colors & this awesome suite!

Look how colored the leaves on this Rustic Harvest DSP!

I used these Stampin' Blends-

 Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Cajun Crazy & Light Mossy Meadow.

This is what it looks like standing up.

It is a fun z fold.....my favorite fold.

Check out how I punched the left top corners

using the Very Best Trio Punch! 

This is what it looks like opened up.

 I shadow stamped the leaves onto the Cajun Craze CS,

using the Cajun Craze ink.

in the Holiday Catalog on pages 86 & 87.
