White Wash technique

 I did the White Wash technique on this card!

Isn't it just gorgeous!!

And it is so easy to do!

 

I used used a hostess exclusive set called- 'Calming Camellia'.

This 'Calming Camellia' stamp set is shown 

on page 17 in the 2022 Sale-a-bration Mini Catalog.

Wow- All hostess orders of at least $300 get this stamp set for FREE.

 

This 'Calming Camellia' stamp set is a dis'ink'tive style stamp.

That means it is patented by Stampin' Up!

This style of stamps give you the light & dark shading naturally

by only inking your stamp one time & stamping it!

Cool huh!

I used my Whisper White Craft Ink Pad & a Blender Pen to 

color over the top of these stamped flowers.

NOTES:  Be careful doing this technique so that you don't ruin your Whisper White Craft Ink Pad.

• I found that a little ink & a fluid is better than too much.   As the Whisper White Craft ink dries, it will lighten if you didn't add it on too thick. I just lightly dabbed my blender pen directly into the corner of my Whisper White Craft Ink Pad to pick up the white ink.
  
• I stamped my flowers/leaves using the Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink directly onto the RichRazzleberry card stock- creating a tone on tone look.  Classic ink color will pick up on the tip of your Blender Pen.  So the corner of my Whisper White Craft ink pad where I picked up the white ink did end up a little light purple/pinkish in color.  So when I was all done coloring my flower,  I blotted that spot that was on my Whisper White Craft ink pad with a paper towel to remove the purple/pinkish color/ink that was on it.   I then re-inked that spot with the Whisper White Craft Ink.
• I suggest that IF you have an un-inked stampin spot, I suggest maybe you should ink it up with the Whisper White Craft Ink & use it instead of your big Whisper White Craft ink pad.

Wildlife Wonder

This is a great guy card!!

It is a totally Susie card. 

It is sooo pretty!

I used the 'Wildlife Wonder' stamp set,

along with the Grove Dies.

Check out the background.

It is the New Horizon DSP!

WOW!

Every sheet of this DSP is just absolutely gorgeous!

NOTE:  There are no dies for this wolf.

So I stamped him onto a strip of Crumb Cake card stock, 

using Memento ink.

I then took my scissors & fussy cut him out.

It wasn't hard at all.

This is a fun z fold card & just stunning!

How to make a bee using the Ladybug Builder Punch

Check out this little bumblebee.

 

Who has the Ladybug Builder Punch!

Well- you will need it to make this cute bumblebee too!

 

How did I make it?

 

I used the Black & White Striped DSP from the upcoming 

All Together DSP that will be available to order on 2/1/22. 

 

1.  Punch out bee lower body with Ladybug Builder Punch.

 2.  I colored the 3 white stripes on the DSP, using my Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend.

3. Cut a 1 1/2" strip of vellum.

I LIGHTLY scored it at 1/4" along the edge & folded it.

Then punched out the wings.

 

MAKE sure that you line it up as shown in the photo,

as you want it folded when you punch

& you don't want to go too far in to punch thru your fold.

4.  See photos below on how I used my scissors & trimmed the body & the wings.

5.  Now I added adhesive to the back side of the bee stripes & stuck the 

folded vellum tab onto it.  

 

6.  Now add the stripped bee/wings part to the bee body!

7.  I used my Wink of Stella & put that over the Vellum wings. 
NOTE:  It would be easier if I did this before I stuck them onto the bee body.

 So what do you think?

So easy huh!

NOTE:  If you do not have any Black & White stripped DSP 

you could just cut narrow 1/8" yellow card stock strips & make them that way.

Special Moments with Daffodil Afternoon DSP

WOW!

This is a clean & simple card that I made last night.

I love the way it turned out!

It is bright & cheery & could be used for many different occasions.

 

The black in this DSP just pops with the splash of colors 

added to it with the flower/leaf images.

This DSP is the Daffodil Afternoon DSP that is a Sale-a-bration choice

& you can get it for FREE with a $50 product order.

 

How did I do it?

Look how I layered the words........

1.  I stamped them onto a 2" strip of Very Vanilla card stock & punch it out

using the Tailored Tag Punch.

2.  I then used Basic Black card stock & punch out 2 Tailored Tag pieces.

 

3.  NOTICE how I cut them using my scissors.

One of them I cut in half vertically.

And one of them I cut in half horizontally.

 

4.  I then layered them behind the words.

 This is what it looks like from the back side when all layered together. 

*NOTE that I did snip off a little bit of the Basic Black card stock 

from each end of the Tailored Tag Punch once I got it layered together.

This way there are even edges all the way around the layered words as shown above.

I added the DSP strip along the inside edge of the card & it shows

 from the front then when the card is shut.

Driving By

 

Check out this CUTE card using the 'Driving By' stamp set.

This stamp set is a SAB choice that you can get for FREE with a $50 product order.

So years ago my boss (Keokuk County Attorney),

had a yellow Volkswagen bug like this!!

Thus I just couldn't resist making this VW yellow!

 

What a fun stamp set this is to use to make a male or female card.

But I especially think it would be great for a little boy too!!

Notice how I used the Splatters Embossing Folder.

NOTE:  If you look at the images in this 'Driving By' stamp set, 

there are presents on top of the roof of the car.

I did cut apart my stamp set, by cutting off these presents.

You'll keep the present so you can add them again if you want,

by just sticking them back onto the clear bock together.

It looks like this when I cut the presents off the top of the car.

This is what it looks like when I stamped it.

So I took my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker 

& drew a thin line to complete this omitted small line.

This is what it looks like when I add the presents back to the top of the car.

 This is what it looks like when this is stamped.

Notice that there are a couple of omitted lines.

So I did use my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to 

draw lines back where they are omitted to fix this. 

This is what it looks like with the lines I drew onto my card stock,

 using my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.

This now is perfect & no one would ever know that I made this into a duo versatile stamp.

Rainbow of Happiness

 Check out this fun rainbow card!

 

The inspiration for this rainbow came from a card that my 

friend Sandy Carlson sent to me.

 

What is a rainbow?

A rainbow is a multicolored arc, or curved line, in the sky. 

Most rainbows form when the Sun's rays strike raindrops falling from faraway rain clouds.

Catching Butterflies

 This is a fun fold card called a Side-Step Easel card.

when making this cute card!

How did I do it?

 

This is the pattern for the card base pieces.

You will add Tear & Tape to this piece like this.

You peel off the Tear & Tape & attach this piece to the very BOTTOM

edge of the card front like this.

Now accordion fold along the scored card base lines so that it looks like this.

Now flip it over to the back side.

You'll peel off this Tear & Tape strip.

Now press it down onto the top/back side of the card base like this.

 

This is what it looks like from the back side when it is all stuck down.

 

 This is what it looks like when you open up the card.

made little dots on the girl's dress!

I just really like the dots added onto her dress!

I made some of the girls with blonde hair & some have brunette hair.
