Haunted Halloween Humble Home Book Pull Out Treat Box

 

Oh wow......this is such a cute little Halloween Treat Box!

 I love the way it turned out!

This is one of the projects that everyone will be making 

at my upcoming Halloween Classes.

 

I used the 

#164048- Book Treat Boxes= $10.00

 * 10 stampable boxes
* Folded box size: 3" x 4" x 1" (7.6 x 10.2 x 2.5 cm)
* Food safe

*Tear & Tape is already applied.

*Just fold on scored lines & put together quickly

*Decorate the top

Here is how I made my pull out treat box!

 As I modified my box so that it is a drawer pulls out.

This is the inside of the box cover. 

The Tear & Tape adhesive strips are already on it for you.

I added a 3 x 4" piece of Basic Black card stock over the Tear & Tape strips.

Now close the box lid, peel off the Tear & Tape on the "tab"

& adhere this to the box top as I have noted in the photo above.

Now adhere a 3 x 4" piece of Basic Black card stock onto the box top.

NOTE:  This is what the box looks like when it is stuck shut 

by adhering the 'tab' to the box top,

before you adhere the Basic Black cardstock over the top of it.

This is what the 'box' now looks like.

It is open on both ends so that I can add the 'drawer' to it 

& it will pull out!

The box looks like this from the side when the front is decorated.

This is what it looks like when the pull out "drawer" is slid into the box.

Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder

This is what the Two-Toned Garden Green card stock looks like.

Notice how it is Garden Green on one side & then a lighter shade on the other side.

This card stock in white centered- so when you tear it 

OR 

when you emboss it & then sand it- the white shows through.

 How did I do it?

Are you wondering how I got the embossed trees to look like this?

I embossed them & then I lightly sanded them with a sanding block.

COOL HUH!

I splattered some Wink of Stella over this card front.

It does not show up in the photos.

But it is really neat looking in person!

A "Spooky BOX" using the Halloween Memories Scrapbooking Workshop Kit

I used some of these stickers in this scrapbooking kit to decorate my box lid,

along with a 4 3/4 x 5 3/4" pieces of this stripped DSP.

How did I do it?

 The finished box measures- 5 x 6".  

Here is the patterns I used to make the box bottom & top.

Box Top= 7 x 8"- score at 1" on all 4 sides.

Box Bottom= 7 x 8"- score at 1 1/16" on all 4 sides.

NOTICE that you want your box bottom just a tiny bit 

smaller than the top so that the lid will fit on.

The box is big enough to hold candy, cards, or any other little gift of your choice.

What would you put in your box?

 

I can't wait to make some more of these boxes to add some cards

inside it & use at gifts.

Winterly Tree Tops stenciled bird card

 

Oh- what a neat card!!

This is just so pretty in person.

And honestly- I'm not a bird lover, but I really like this bundle alot!

How cool is it that these birds were die cut directly from the DSP.  

 

Check out how I die cut the pine boarder & then used that as a stencil!

I added the green color using a Blending Brush!

This is a fun technique & I'll be sharing more info about how to do this sometime soon.

I will also be doing this technique at my October monthly stamp classes.

More Than Autumn Fun Fold card

Awhhh- here is another totally Susie card!

This card is a fun fold 'latch' card.

Note how the little pumpkin is popped up with a dimensional

& holds the card front shut.
