Magnolia

Look at this beautiful card!  It is one that I made when I was in New York last month stamping with my team there!  This is one of the cards that (I think Dawn) designed for all of us to make.  It is just stunning in person!

If you look closely you can see the Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder.  Talk about WOW- I love it!  And I hadn't ever used it yet.  It just really added to this card.
The Magnolia's are stamped in Versamark, then I put Black Embossing Powder over it, heat set it with the Heat Tool & colored them with Aqua Painters & & ink refills.

Yesterday was a busy day with a house full of kids (Brayden, Brody, Drake & Ainslee).  Manda & Trey came to eat lunch with us & then they both had dentist appointments.  We were outside for awhile in the afternoon.  A it was a beautiful day out!!  When everyone was gone, I made a quick drive to Osky & right back.  I had to get a hog check deposited.  Then Deke & I went up to Nathan & Sarah's for a late supper in honor of Masen's 4th birthday!  It was a quite, but nice evening.  When we got home I burnt the midnight oil stamping!

It was a short night, as we are up at 5:00 this morning to head out the door.  We will mark, sort & load hogs.  The semi is to be here at 6:00 to load them. Hopefully all goes well as Nathan & Sarah both have to be gone early this morning- so I need to get up there to get the kids.  I'll spend my day with Brayden, Masen & Ainslee.  Deke will chore after we get done with the hogs & then he is headed to Cedar Rapids for the day to take his parents to some dr appointments.  He'll chore & work late on the farm when he gets home.  And I'll be burning the midnight oil again stamping tonight, after the kids go home.

Gotta run......
I hope you have a great Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!

A Little Lace

On this card- I stamped the flowers onto labels!  They are All Purpose Labels that measure 1 x 2.75" from our local Dollar General.  They come in the strip of 4 per sheet!!

Didn't it turn out cool!

How do you do it?
  1. Stamp onto the labels, using Memento ink.
  2. Let it dry for a few minutes- as the labels are thin & certainly not card stock quality- but they work!
  3. Color, using your Stampin' Blends.
  4. Add Wink of Stella.
  5. Peel back about 1" along the edge of the label backing.
  6. Center onto your So Saffron card stock.that measures- 4 1/4 x 3".
  7. Peel off backing & press your labels down to your card stock.
  8. Add your Clear Fauceted Gems to the center of your flowers.
Look- how fun!!  It is is a stand up easel card too!
Here is what it looks like on the inside- when it is laying out flat.
This is one of the card that everyone at my August monthly classes made with me!

When I got home last night I made supper for Deke & then Manda came out to help me!  We made designed Masen's birthday invites!  His theme is Cars!  So we ended up finding some cute clip art, printed it onto our Whisper White card stock & then colored the cars with Stampin' Blends & fussy cut them out.  It turned out super cute!!  The invites are all cut, printed & assembled- other than I have to finish coloring in the cars & cut them out!!  I'll have to get them done today, so we can get them mailed out.

Today I'll spend my day with all of the kids!!  Tonight I'll be placing orders & hopefully doing some stamping too- before I go to bed.

A snowman from Lots of Cheer!

Have you noticed the adorable snowman on page 69 in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog?  This stamp set also has a pretty ornament, a bell wreath & some great words!

This card is gorgeous in person!  I love the colors of it & how it turned out.

This is one of the cards that everyone joining me at my August monthly classes will be making!
This card was hard to photograph, as I used the Noble Peacock Specialty DPS & coordinating Noble Peacock Foil Sheets on it.  I chose to use the Pretty Peacock color- as I thought that this design in it could be a snowflake!

Look at the little snowflakes that I added to it.  These are a NEW item in the upcoming Holiday Catalog, called Snowflake Sequins.

This card is a fun dutch door fold card!! Check out how cute it is standing up!

So what do you think?  Do you agree that it is a pretty cool card?

Yesterday was a long day!!  We were up early & on the go all day long!  I was so sore & beat by the time we got to bed last night.  I think I have bruises everywhere.  Working with the pigs is so much work.  We sold big fat hogs yesterday morning & the got 653 baby piggies in yesterday afternoon.  I literally picked up every one of those baby pigs- as they didn't want to walk off of the ramp.  And then we went through them all- counting them & sorting them up for size.  So I picked up about 1/3 of them again!  Thankfully Manda came to our house to help me out with the kids.  Ainslee stayed in with her all afternoon, but the boys came out to help us sort & move the baby piggies around.  We were all hot & tired when we got done!
Here is a great picture of Deke with Brody, Trey, Drake & Masen!
Check out their smiles!
And you can also see how hot we all were too!!

Last night Masen & Ainslee stayed with us.  We went to Walkers for an ice cream cone, watched the Cub play baseball, played a couple of games & read a few books!

Today Deke is home to work on the farm all day!  I'm up early to hopefully get some card stock cut before the kids get up.  I'll spend my day with Masen & Ainslee & then their great-grandparents from Missouri are gonna be here late this afternoon to keep them this weekend at Nathan & Sarah's home- as I have stamp classes all weekend long & I have LOTS to finish getting ready for yet tonight!

Gotta run......
I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!
Happy Stamping!

Ride with Me- little blue truck!

Check out this CUTE fall card!!  I used the NEW 'Ride with Me' bundle, along with the awesome NEW 'Birch' background stamp!

One of my favorite books that I have read to the boys is one called- The Little Blue Truck!  I would hate to even try to guess how many times I have read it.  But it is a great book.  So here is my version of that truck.
I stamped the truck onto THICK Very Vanilla card stock, with my black Memento ink pad.  I then colored the truck using my Stampin' Blends.
This shows the layout of the card a little better!  Isn't it cute!

This card is another one of the cards that everyone stamping with me at my August monthly classes will be making.

stamp set:  'Ride with Me' & 'Birch' background

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  We played outside for alittle before lunch & after naps.  Last night Nathan & Steve helped Deke & I sort fat hogs that were in our big outside lots.  I worked on stamping stuff for awhile when we got in (after I made supper).

This morning we are up at 5:30 to mark, sort & load hogs.  I'll then have Masen & Ainslee for the day/night.  Manda is coming out around noon to stay with them at our home, as we are getting new baby piggies again & I'll spend my afternoon helping Deke with them.  Once we get the baby piggies all unloaded- the 4 boys- Brody, Drake, Trey & Masen can come out to help us as we sort them up.  Tonight Masen & Ainslee will be spending the night with us.  Masen is calling it a sleep over.  He has plans to play games & watch a movie.  After they go to bed I will be cutting card stock, getting ready for the 4 stamp classes that I have this weekend.

More Daisy Lane

Check out this pretty daisy card using the 'Daisy Lane' bundle!  I LOVE the new medium Daisy punch!  It is the perfect size for many uses.

When we were on the Stampin' Up! incentive trip last month, one of our table mates each night was Lynn Feldcamp from Minnesota.  It was great getting to know her & visit each night at supper together.  I got her card in our demonstrator swap.  It had 3 daisies in a row & that card is what inspired this card.

You can click on the 2 links below to see a couple other cards I have posted using the Daisy Lane Bundle!

Yesterday was a fun day with 5 of the kids- Brody, Drake, Trey, Masen & Ainslee.  We were outside alot!  We went to What Cheer & played in the park there, got ice cream at Walkers, had walking tacos for lunch, the 3 little ones napped & then we played outside some more.  I know I was sure tired last night.  I bet they were too.

Deke didn't get picked for jury duty, but he wasn't striked until the end of the day.  So he worked out on the farm last night & I worked on creating swaps that I need to get done & in the mail.

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head his courthouse office for the morning.  I'm up early to stamp until Masen & Ainslee get here & I'll then spend my day with them.  Tonight I have to work outside with Deke- sorting hogs.  Steve & Nathan are coming to help us too.  I'll then stamp when I get in from there.

Tasteful Textures Bundle!

I LOVE it!!  Isn't this a bright & cheery card!  It could be used for many different occasions- wedding, anniversary, birthday, retirement, graduation, etc.

This is one of the cards that everyone stamping with me at my August monthly classes this week will be making!

My inspiration for this class card came from a similar card with these color/layout that my friend Selene made.
I made this a fun door fold card.  I even stamped the back side of my purple piece & it shows when the card is opened up!

This is a great bundle called- Tasteful Textures Bundle on page 135!  Check it out!!  I can see endless possibilities when creating with it!

Don't you think that these flowers could be Poinsettia's?  My friend, Lynda, asked me if I thought they could be.  My comment back to her- was YES!  So if I did this layout in reds- I definitely think that they would look like Poinsettia's & it would be a beautiful Christmas card!  So I am going to try this sometime in the next few weeks & I'll share with you what I create.  We will then see if it does or doesn't look like Poinsettia's!
stamp set:  'Tasteful Textures'
card stock:
  • Purple Posy-  5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 2 1/8" & 6 3/8" for card base; 4 x 2 3/4"
  • Highland Heather- 5 x 3 3/4"
  • Gorgeous Grape- 3 x 4 1/4"
  • Whisper White- 4 x 5 1/4"- for inside of card

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  We played outside some.  And we had to go round up Cocoa again......as she has been running up to Nathan & Sarah's home- every time she isn't tied up or in her kennel.  I do not know what we are going to do with her!

Deke had a meeting last night & so when the kids went home I worked on entering orders & stamping stuff.

This morning Deke is up early to chore & head to the courthouse- as he is on jury duty today & they have a trial.  I'll get up early & work on stamping stuff & then head up to Nathan & Sarah's.  Nathan is out of town for work & Sarah has an early meeting- so I'll go up there & stay so that the kids can sleep in a little.  We have to be back down here by 8 though, as I'll have Manda & Steve's 3 boys today too!  Hopefully it is nice out & we can play outside!  Maybe we'll even make it to What Cheer to the bank & play in their park (which we love to do)!  Tonight when the kids are all gone home I'll be stamping!  I have several swaps I have to get created, stamped & assembled- so that I can get them in the mail!  I'll be burning the midnight oil & hopefully get alot done.

Here's to hoping we all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Daisy punch!

Check out this cute home decor that I got & decorated!  I bought this 8" cork hanging decor.  It had a heart on each side- where I put the daisies!  I thought it turned out super cute- after I added my personal touch to it!!!

How did I do it?
  • Punched out 6 daisies, using Whisper White card stock.
  • Used Mini Dimensional to stick 2 of them together.
  • Used a Dimensional & stuck on the cork decor.
  • Added a Perennial Essence Center to the center of the daisies.
  • Punch out 3 leaves out of Old Olive card stock.
  • Using Glue Dots- added, the leaves, by tucking them in underneath the daisies.
I bought a few of these cork decors.  I decorated one for my nephew Ryan & his fiance Melanie.  We gave it to them at their couples bridal shower, that Deke & I went to on Saturday night.  Manda & Sarah both liked it- too so I made each of them one, plus one for myself!!

This is an other gorgeous card that I made last week when I was in New York with my team there.  Rory created it & all of us at her team meeting, got to make it!  It is made using the 'Bloom & Grow' stamp set!  Wow!

Three is A LOT of detail on this card.  The picture doesn't show how cool it really is!
On the Petal Pink (front of the card) the Tufted Embossing Folder was used!

And check out how we used the Gold Embossing powder on all of the stamped images & then colored in the flower with the Petal Pink Stampin' Blend.

NOTE:  When you use any Stampin' Blends with an Embossed image, where you use Embossing Powder, be sure to not color directly over the embossed image- just get close to it- as it can smear & break down.

stamp set:  'Bloom & Grow'
card stock:
  • Petal Pink-
  • Very Vanilla-
ink:  Versamark
Stampin' Blends:  Light & Dark Petal Pink
other:  Gold Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Petal Pink Striped Organdy Ribbon, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Tufted Embossing Folder, Die Cutting Machine

Yesterday was a long day!!  Manda & the boys came out yesterday morning.  We designed the twins (Brody & Drake's) upcoming birthday invites!!  And then Brody & Trey went out to help Papa & me with the new baby piggies, while Manda & Drake made the invites.  Drake came out later in the afternoon & helped us too with the baby piggies- when they got the invites all done.  As Drake is my stamper & I love it!  I was sore, hot & beat by the time we got in.  The pigs we big & averaged 17#'s.  I worked on some stamping stuff & called it a night.

This morning Deke is up early to chore & then he has a meeting this afternoon.  I'm up early & plan to work on sorting orders & doing book work all morning.  And then I'll stamp all afternoon/evening!  I am sore.....as I used muscles yesterday that I don't often use any more.   I told Deke I am getting too old to work that hard outside with the piggies.

Our kids are all going camping this weekend....so I don't have any kids today.......so I hope I have good mojo & get LOTS done!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday was a busy day with the kids.  Plus I had my yearly allergy appointment & they went with me.  Last night we all went to the races to cheer on Nathan.  My mom also went with us, so that was nice.  It was late when we got home though.  It was the final race of the regular season.  Nathan won his heat & got 2nd in the main.  He is the Southern Iowa Speedway Stock Car Track champion!!!  So that is special!

This morning we are up early to get ready for baby piggies!!  So I'll be a farmer today & work outside with Deke on the farm!  Tonight I'll be stamping- getting ready for this months classes.

I hope you have a great Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!
