A 'Happy Day' with 'Zoo Babies'!

Good morning!
Here is a cute 'Zoo Babies' card that I made for my class last month.
Isn't he cute!
And I love the Coastal Cabana with the Smokey Slate.
It is just a great color combination.
 'Zoo Babies' & 'Happy Day'

ink:  Smokey Slate
supplies:  Big Shot, Alphabet Press embossing folder, Basic Pearls, Paper Snip, dimensionals

Brayden & Nathan were here last night.
The guys worked in the shop & have the race car ready to go for tonight.
If the weather is decent I might go & take all of the boys.
We'll see how the day goes & decide later.
Manda has parent/teachers conferences tonight & Steve has dance pictures to edit-
so I'll have the twins.
Brayden was trying hard to talk his dad into letting him go racing tonight too.
I just pray that the 52 Team has a good night!
They have spent alot of hours in the shop lately fixing the car from Saturday nights mishap.

I've been a stamping fool.....
Maddison's invites are just about all done & she will be here this afternoon to get them.
They turned out cute & she was pleased with them!
I will get a photo of them & post it sometime soon.

We had a late night last night on the farm, thus making it a short night of sleep.
Our semi driver was late getting here due to waiting to unload a prior load.
It was after midnight when we got in.

I'm off this morning to Manda's to get the boys.

I hope you have WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!

Happy Monday with 'Happy Watercolor'!

Good morning!
Here is a card that I created for my April classes.
I LOVE IT!
It is totally a "Susie card".
I love these 2 colors together!
And check out the labels that the flowers are stamped on.
This technique is one that I first learned over 13 years ago when I started stamping!
I think all of the girls stamping with me this past week thought it was cool too.
Yes- I am a technique junkie.
Yes- I love different folds.
Don't you like the way that this card opens up.
And check out how I punched out the words on this card.
My dear demonstrator friend LeeAnn Greff shared the awesome way to do this using
the Decorative Label Punch.
Check out my step by step process below on how to do this!

'Happy Watercolor'
cs:  Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede & Whisper White
dp:  Neutrals Designer Series Stack (Soft Suede)
ink:  Soft Suede
markers:  Soft Suede & Pink Pirouette
supplies:  Large Oval Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Soft Suede 3/8" Taffeta ribbon
other:  Address Labels
#1- stamp words onto strip of card stock towards the bottom
#2- punch out words with Decorative Label Punch
#3- cut a strip of card stock to make a "HANDLE" to attach to your Decorative Label Punch out
#4- using handle- slide punched out words into the top of the punch like this!
#5 Punch & you are done!
Isn't this a cool & different look you can get using this punch!

I am off to Manda's this morning to get the boys.
She has an early meeting to attend.
Deke is in the office today.
I'll be working on Maddison's graduation invitations every spare minute I have the next 2 days.

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!

Spring is here with Tulips!

Hello!
This is a fun fold tulip card.
It is one of my April class cards.
Isn't the grass along the bottom cute!
It is made using the fringe scissors.
I will update this post with the supply list sometime soon.

I spend the day/night yesterday cutting card stock.
I was hoping I got to go to the races- but that didn't happen.
But the guys & Brayden did go to Bloomfield last night.
Nathan won his heat & the Stock Car Dash.
His good luck went bad when his motor blew up in the main
& to top it off, he was leading at the time.
What a bummer!!!

As I type this post it is storming & we've been without power for about the past hour.
Deke went out to start the generator.
We are waiting for the power company to get things going again.

I still have a little more cutting to do & packing up before I'm headed out for my class today.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone & stamping with them.
Fran & Lona are our hostesses this month.

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!

A CUTE little Bunny!

Hello!
Here is the bunny card that I told you yesterday that I would post today.
Isn't he cute!!
His eyes are basic rhinestones colored with a black sharpie marker.
His whiskers are made by cutting strips with the fringe scissors.
The egg is made with the small oval punch
& the Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper from Sale-a-bration.
I also used the Small Heart Punch, the Extra Large Oval punch, the Large Oval punch
& the Oval Framelits to make him.
His little tail is just so stinkin' cute too!
It is made using the 7/8" Scalloped Circle punch.

cs:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White & Pink Pirouette
dp:  Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper (SAB)
ink: Early Espresso (sponged around the edges)
supplies:  Oval Framelits, Extra Large Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Small Oval Punch, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, dimensionals, glue dots, Fringe Scissors, Basic Rhinestones, Small Heart Punch, sponge

I got a bunny card swap from Carol Stephenson
& adapted her idea to create this little bunny!

What beautiful spring like weather we had yesterday!
The boys & I enjoyed playing outside for a couple of hours.

Today I'm cutting card stock & packing up for my class I have tomorrow.
If it doesn't rain the guys will be going racing in Bloomfield tonight & depending on how much cutting I have done will depend on whether I am going with them or not.
Deke is gone to a meeting all morning & then home to chore & work in the shop.

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!

"Hoppy" Friday!!

Hello!
I've been making some fun Easter cards.
Here is a peek at one of bunny cards I made.
Stop back by tomorrow& I'll show you the rest of this cute little bunny!

I had a full room to stamp with me at the Pizza Ranch in Sigourney last night.
I am so glad so many could join me!!
Many 'THANKS" to those of you that helped me pick up, pack up & carried things out to my car.

Nathan didn't have too good of luck last night racing.
He started 12th & finished 9th.
At least he didn't tear anything up.
Tomorrow night (Saturday) we'll be headed to Bloomfield to race.

I'm off to Manda's this morning to get the boys.
I will then enjoy my day with them.
Tonight I'll be cutting & getting ready for my stamp class I have on Sunday!
AND
sometime I've got to get Maddies' graduation invitations done.
There just aren't enough hours in the day!

Wishing you a "Hoppy" Friday!!
Hugs!

How cool!!!

Hello
Isn't this awesome!!

Embossing folders aren't just for paper!
Amber Mulleniz said she used her favorite Stampin Up embossing folder for these fondant covered Strawberry Shortcake cupcake.

Note:  The Stampin' Up! 'Elegant Lines' embossing folder is now retired.

She just pressed the folder directly on & rolled- out the image.

LOVE this idea & they look so yummy!!

Busy day yesterday....Susie's Hair Hut was open & I got the twins hair cut.
I went to Osky after work to get groceries.
Then home to sort stamp orders & cut card stock all night.
The guys practiced at the race track last night.
Deke said that the new car looked really good.
The guy in front of Nathan lost his drive shaft & Nathan ran over it, thus his radiator got ruined.
So Papa Mark will be going to get another radiator for the guys to put in today.

I am hoping that the 52 Wood Racing Team has better luck tonight!
I am sad that I'm missing the races (due to them being rescheduled from last week).
But I have a bunch of ladies joining me to stamp tonight!!
And I can't wait for them to see the cards that they'll be making!!
I think they are pretty cool & I hope they do too!

I hope you have a superb Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!

A shiny card!

Hello!
Here it is I think-
this is the last of my 'All Occasions' cards.
It is similar to another one I created & posted awhile back.
I changed the circle image & I added the Silver Foil paper to it.
Isn't is awesome!!
I love how it shines.
This is an elegant clean & simple card.
'Pomp & Circumstance'
cs:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver Foil Paper & Silver Glimmer
ink:  Black Stazon
supplies:  2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Merry Mini's Punch Pack (Small Star), Glue Dots, Dimensionals
Well I think I have all of my projects for my upcoming Spring Stamp 'Til You Cramp figured out.
WOW- this is a techniques class it is going to be a great one!
I have lots of creating & cutting to do in the next couple of weeks for it.
But am excited to be sharing with those that will be joining me.
The boys & I enjoyed seeing my mom yesterday morning & played in the park for awhile.
It was chilly & windy- not near as nice out as it was on Monday.
But the boys loved it!
We will have to go back again sometime soon & play there again.
We came home to get & eat lunch, they napped & we were back out to play
in the yard here for a bit before Manda & Steve got here.
Nathan & Brayden were here last night.
Brayden was excited that he got to help us sell hogs.
He is quite the little farmer!
The race car is loaded & ready to head out tonight to the Southern Iowa Speedway for practice night.
Only the guys will be going tonight.
Then the first official Frost Buster race will be tomorrow night over there.
I will miss it (as it was originally scheduled for last Thursday night.)
I have a big group of ladies that will be stamping with me & I can't disappoint them nor do I honestly have time to reschedule it.
I'll get text messages from Deke on updates of the happenings at the race track.
And I'll be praying that Nathan has a lucky night.
Brayden is excited that he'll be going with the guys & gets to go to the pits since
I won't be there to sit with in the stands.
Tonight I'll be running to Osky to deposit our hog check & get a few groceries.
Then I'll be home to work on cutting more card stock for tomorrow nights class.
I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!

Sending Good Thoughts Your Way!

Good morning!!
Here's another card from my 'All Occasions' Card Class.
Clean & Simple was what I was trying for.
But I'm not a clean & simple stamper- so added the cut out star & the Decorative Dots embossing folder....now it looks more like a Susie card.
I will update this post with the supply list soon.

It is a start to another busy week here.
Deke has meetings all morning.
The twins & I are headed out to deliver a couple of stamp orders, go to the bank & to the locker to pick up our meat.
Then home to put it in the freezers & it will be time to get lunch.

I have stamps all over our home....
Family Room, Kitchen, Stamp Room, Living Room, Dining Room!!
Really- I'm not joking!
*Boxes from 'All Occasions' card class- that I'm still unpacking & putting away.
*My upcoming Stamp'Til You Cramp ideas & projects all over.
*Boxes of supplies for the 6 cards for my 3 monthly stamp classes that I have this week.
*Supplies for the 175-200 graduation invitations I have to make this week
for our niece Maddison Wood.
*Paper Cutter, Scoring Tool, Scissor Snips, Punches- as just a few of many things
laying on our kitchen island.

Where do I begin?
What do I do first?
I am just praying I get lots of stamping done this week & still get alittle sleep somehow too.

Gotta run.....
I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!
Happy Stamping!

A "Class of 2014" Graduation Cap/Card

Hello!
Here is a quick post.
I'm still cutting card stock & packing up for my workshop I have today!
I can't wait to see Ila & the gang & stamp with everyone!
I have some super cute cards to share with everyone stamping with me for my monthly classes this month.
Be sure to stop back by later this week as I'll be posting them.
I did lots of fun folds!

I have already posted this card, but added the year to it....
Click here to see my previous post!
so posting it again, along with the measurements as I've had a few people ask me how I did it.
This is a card that I did for a swap that I was in last month with Carols' group.

Yep- Graduation is just around the corner, so thought this would be appropriate to make.
What graduate wouldn't like getting a card like this!
Check out the cute tassel on it that I made with the Fringe Scissors- pg. 31 in the Occasions Catalog.
I used the graduation set- 'Pomp & Circumstance' on pg. 29 in the Occasions Catalog.
The the set- 'Memorable Moments'- pg. 134 in the Main Catalog.

Here are the directions for the fold.
Grad Cap Card-
  • Cut paper 4 1/4" x 9 3/4"
  • Score at 5 1/2"
  • Add Diagonal Plate
  • With short side at the top, score diagonally from the 2 1/8" mark, turn card over and score again from the 2 1/8" mark forming an X over the 5 1/2" scored line.
  • Fold along all scored lines
  • At the top of the card mark the center (2 1/8")
  •  With the paper timer cut from the 2 1/8" mark to the first scored line on both sides forming a point.

For Whisper White lining-
  •  Cut 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Mark the center at the top of card then mark 2" down the side of the card from that end cut from center mark to each 2" mark forming a point.
Layer inside of card-
  • Cut a 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" (square)
