So here is the card I made for him.
We'll be heading to the Seeley's for the majority of the day to celebrate!
We're having the twins big 3rd Birthday party today!
We're going to have a fun, full day!

Yesterday morning I ran errands in Sigourney
(shopping for the boys birthday gifts)

I now have short hair!
It hasn't been this short in years.....alot to get use to.
Then last evening Deke, Brayden & the Seeley's went to the Figure 8 races in town
& I decided to stay home & do things to get ready for the boys party.

We are looking forward to a busy day with our family!

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

A beautiful fall wreath!!

Hello!
When I first saw this wreath in the Holiday Catalog I was in love with it!

I needed a sympathy card for a couple of dear friends earlier this week
& this is what I created to send to them.
I thought it turned out super cute.
'Wondrous Wreath', 'Woodgrain Background','A Dozen Thoughts'
cs:  Soft Suede, Crumb Cake & Naturals Ivory
ink:  Crumb Cake, Soft Suede & Cajun Craze
supplies:  Candy Dot Bases, Big Shot, Wondrous Wreath Framelits, Paper Snips,
dimensionals, 1/2" Circle punch, Mat Pack

NOTES:
*Everyone joining me to stamp at my September classes
will get to make a fall card similar to this one.

*This is a Photopolymer stamp set.
To get a clear, crisp image using these types of stamps I have a
Paper Piercing Mat under neath my card stock.
I works like a charm!!
+++++

We got clear to Columbus Junction last night & they cancelled the races due to the rain.
So Brayden, Manda, Brody, Drake, Trey & I ate supper at McDonald's in Washington
& then the boys played on the inside playground there for awhile.

Brayden is spending the day with us.
I'm headed out now to get my hair cut.
Then home to go to Manda's & help her get ready for the boys'
birthday party that is tomorrow.
Brayden is thrilled he gets to help Papa today feed pigs, grind feed & help on the farm.
Since he is in school again now he missed out on getting to follow Papa around.

Tonight we are taking the 3 older boys & going to the Figure 8 races in Sigourney.
They boys are excited!!
I hope they don't get rained out.

Last night our internet was down- so I'm sorry for the later than normal post.
I'm glad that they got it fixed.

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday.
Happy stamping!

It is time to CELEBRATE!!!

WOO HOO!!
We are celebrating!!!
Today Brody & Drake are 3 years old!
How in the world can that be?
It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that they were born.
Their arrival was definitely a day I'll never forget.
WE are SO BLESSED to have twins!
So here are their birthday cards that I made last night.
Their birthday party theme is construction/dump trucks.
Although I rarely show projects created with retired product....
today you are seeing cards made with all current products
EXCEPT for the stamp set- 'I Dig You' is retired.

'I Dig You'- RETIRED
'Good Greetings' (new hostess set)
'Metro Type Alphabet set
cs:  Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper White, Soft Suede, Marina Mist
ink:  Black Memento Pad, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede
supplies:  Cupcake Punch (for the clouds), 1" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Candy Dot Brad Bases, dimensionals, Big Shot, Chevron Embossing Folder

I hope the boys like their cards!!
We will have a big party for them on Sunday.
Today they get a little celebration here at grandma's.
I have the house decorated with banners & balloons.
Plus have made their favorite WOOD CAKE!
It is crispix bars pressed into an angel food cake pan.
And M&M are sprinkled on the top of it for the frosting.
This cake is a Wood tradition & many of you have tasted it before.
It is very yummy!!!
 ++++++
Here is my Wood Cake Recipe incase you'd like to make one at your house.
 Crispix Bars

I used a whole 12 oz. box of the Crispix Cereal.

Melt:
1 stick margarine
1/4 c. white karo sryup
16 oz. pkg of marshmellows (I use small ones as they melt faster)

Remove from heat:
Stir in 1 c. Peanutbutter
THEN
Stir in  on box of Crispix.
(Add 1 c. coconut- optional!)
Dump & press into a greased cake pan or a cookie sheet.

(They don't cut very well- we just pull them apart!)

ENJOY!!!
++++++++++++

We are all headed to the races tonight to cheer on Nathan
in Columbus Junction- weather permitting.
Tonight is season championship & Nathan is leading the points.
But we got alot of rain yesterday- so we are betting that they get rescheduled.

Brayden will be here after school too- so the boys are excited to see him.

I'm off to Manda's to get the boys.
I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

A 'Seasonally Scattered' fall card

Good morning!
Here is another embossed resist technique I did when making this fall card.
I used the set-
'Seasonally Scattered' from the New Holiday Catalog.
'Seasonally Scattered'
cs:  Mossy Meadow, Cajun Crazy, Whisper White, Soft Suede
dp:  Color me Autumn Designer Paper

Yesterday I did get everything squeezed in that we "had" to do.
I connected with Berdette on things for Erin's wedding programs she is making.
I got Steven's hair cut when he got off of work.
We all got to Brayden's Flag FB game- which was alot of FUN & he did a great job!
And we all made it to the races too!
Nathan won his heat & he got 3rd in the main.
We also made a quick trip to get groceries after the races & got home really late!

The races were delayed for about 1 hour due to a bad accident.
Please keep one of the 4-cyclinder race car drivers in your prayers as
he needs lots of prayers sent his way.
He rolled his car & was badly injured.
They air-cared him to Iowa Methodist in Des Moines.
He had head injuries & chest injuries.
He did not have his safety equipment on correctly.
It is just so sad & literally breaks my heart.
I pray he will be ok.
My heart goes out to him & his family!
I did not personally know him.
He is from Ottumwa & in his early to mid 30's.
This is just awful!

I'm off to Manda's this morning to get the boys.
We have to run to Fairfield & pick up Bayden's Papa Mark Sheetz
& then head back home.
Papa Deke is busy with meetings all day & night today.
I'm gonna be home alone tonight & have TONS of stamping I have to get done.

I hope you have a very special THURSDAY!!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!

A clean & simple fall card....

Hello!
I am usually not a clean & simple stamper.
But I saw a layout like this & instantly thought that I should make a fall card
using the new Fun Fall Framelits with the square punch.
I think it turned out pretty cute!
'Four You'
cs:  Whisper White, Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow
ink:  Mossy Meadow
supplies:  Banner Punch, 1" Square Punch, Big Shot, Fun Fall Framelits, dimensionals

So check out this stepped up version of the same card.

Which card do you like better?
I think I personally like the clean & simple one the best!

It was warm yesterday- but there was a nice breeze.
So much nicer than it was out on Monday.
The boys played outside for about 1 1/2 hours yesterday morning.

We got hogs loaded out & chores done.
It was late when we got in & made supper.
I was beat & went to bed early (before midnight) for me.

I'm headed to Manda's home this morning.
The 3 boys & I will take Brayden to school & then we'll head out to our farm.
We have a busy day!!!
I hope it all clicks & we get everything done.
Susie's Hair Hut is open to cut Steve's hair when he gets off work.
Then we are all going to watch Brayden's first Flag Football game @ 6.
Then we are headed to the races to Osky to cheer on Nathan & the 52 Racing Team.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!!
Happy Stamping!

Had a fun day with the boys yesterday.
We weren't out much...it was SO HOT & HUMID.
And playing inside isn't as much fun....but we had lots of tractors, trucks &
race cars all over the house with them playing.
We were all excited to get to see Brayden when school got out early.
He had Flag football practice in the heat.
Here is a photo of him.
His first game is tomorrow night.
We're all looking forward to going to watch him.

We will have no relief in the heat today.
School is releasing early again.
So the boys will get to play together again.

Then tonight I'm a farmer helping Deke with the hogs.
I hope that it cools down.

Have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!

A sneak peek of a FALL tree using 'Holiday Home'.

Hello!
Here is a fun fall card.
This is an awesome new photopolymer stamp set that has TONS
of different seasonal images in it.
It is called 'Holiday Home'.
It is on pg. 16 in the New Holiday Catalog.
Be sure to check it out!
You'll be seeing LOTS of other projects created with this
cool new set in the coming months.

Check out the designer paper.
It is from the Motley Designer Paper on pg. 45 of the Holiday Catalog.

NOTE:
I did take my Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker & make 3 little dots randomly
all over the Dp to give it more color & dimension.
And I couldn't decide which direction I liked the card going.....
so here are 2 different cards using the exact same dimensions.
They have 2 totally different looks don't they!

Did you notice the cute "little pumpkin" sitting by the tree base?
I stamped & then hand cut it out.
I used a glue dot to attach it to the card.

'Holiday Home'
cs:  Mossy Meadow, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight & Whisper White
dp:  Motley Monsters Designer Paper
ink:  Black Memento pad
markers:  Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Early Espresso

I got Brody's hair cut & he was SO GOOD!
Then went to Osky last night to deposit a hog check & get some groceries.
Got home, made supper, got groceries put away & did farm bookwork.

I'm off to Manda's now.
HOPE to get Drake's hair cut sometime today.
Then we are home for a change tonight.
I have to get some much needed stamping things done.

Wishing you a very special Thursday!!

So am I!
Oh my gosh there is so much in it & I want it all.
It is jam packed full of so many awesome new products!

As you know fall is my favorite time of the year.
I'm gonna have fun making Halloween & Fall cards
with all of the new new products that are in the Holiday Catalog!
What do you think of this 'batty' Halloween card?
I am starting to gear up for my upcoming Halloween Treats class.
I know I have more ideas that we will be able to do at this class.
I'll be sharing several Halloween projects with you over the next few weeks.
Some of these projects just might end up being ones
we'll do at my Halloween Treats class.

Today's card has 3 cute little bats on it- that is forsure.

Lovin' spending my days with my boys.
They are so sweet!
And they are all growing up way too fast.
Today is an exciting day as Brayden starts 1st grade.
Oh my gosh....I can't believe it!
I know he was excited & I can't wait to hear all about it!

We have alot of things on our schedule to get done today.
One of which is cutting Brody & Drake's hair.
I've promised them that if they are good & let me cut their hair-
G'ma will take them to the races with her tonight & they can spend the night.
So we'll see how my bribe goes.
I have my fingers crossed that it will go as planned.

Nathan has had one bad luck run after another lately.
They went to Tipton last night racing & he won his heat,
but had bad luck & didn't finish the main.
I think the car is finally set up good & things are clicking.
I am a HOPING he has good luck tonight.
We'll be there to cheer him on.

It was a hot night selling hogs last night.
Thankfully it cooled down some & there was a little breeze.
I am hoping that the trucker makes it to the packing house with out any issues.

Ok.....off to Manda's house I go to pick up the boys.
I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Happy Stamping!

A fall "Lovely As A Tree"!

Good morning!
This tree stamp set has to be one of my favorite stamp sets ever.
Each year I fear that it will retire.
Thankfully it is still around for us to create with.
'Lovely As A Tree' & 'Four You'

ink:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
markers:  Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke & Early Espresso
supplies:  Big Shot, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Neutrals Candy Dots (Early Espresso), dimensionals, Square framelits

Then I thumped on colors of- Early Espresso, Always Artichoke & Cajun Craze
with our Stampin' Write Markers.

I also did the spotlighting technique on this card too,
by cutting out these squares with the square framelits to highlight them.

Happy 50th Birthday today to my brother-in-law Dan.
He has a tree trimming business in the Sigourney area &
I designed this card with him in mind.

We had a busy day yesterday.
They boys had fun playing together.
I took Brayden to see Dr. Brian, as he has bronchitis,
so got some meds.
HOPE he is better soon.
No time to be sick with school starting tomorrow.

We also got to go play in the What Cheer park for about 1 hour yesterday morning.
And I got Brayden's hair cut last night too-
so he'll be ready for school.

Today will just be the 3 Seeley boys here.
Looking forward to my busy day with them.
Tonight I'm a farmer helping Deke with selling hogs.

I hope he likes the card.
I wasn't going to send him a 50th one....

Yesterday was a quite day at home.
The Seeley's were in Kansas City for the weekend visiting Steven's brother.
So it was just Nathan, Brayden, Deke & I.
I did get caught up on farm & stampin' bookwork.
And I made a few cards before I went to bed.
I loved being here, as there aren't many Sunday's that I'm home.

All 4 boys will be here bright & early this morning!
We'll have a celebration today- as this will be Brayden's last full
day here with us as he goes to his mom's tomorrow.
And then can you believe that he starts 1st grade on Wednesday.
We sure are going to miss him being here with us.
Luckily we'll still get to see him some mornings & afternoons though-
before & afternoon school.
 Gosh....the summer just flew by!!
Hopefully we can make it to What Cheer to play in their park today too.
They have a playground & the boys all love it there.

Hope we can find time to do it again soon.

Bless Deke for helping me yesterday freeze corn.
He cut all of the corn off the cobs.
I cooked, drained & bagged it.
We ended up putting 91- 2 1/2 cup bags into the freezer.
It sure will taste yummy this winter!

Last night the guys went racing.
Nathan finished 4th.
I worked on putting away stamp stuff.

We have a full day today with family!
