Oh what a LONG day yesterday was with boys, selling hogs & Masen all night.  I will update this post later today hopefully!

The brick was delivered yesterday morning & the brick layer was here for awhile yesterday afternoon & got some of the planning done.  He plans to be back on Saturday with a crew & hopefully they'll get most of it done.  Yesterdays rain kinda put a damper on things.

The twins loved pre-school!
Brody, Manda & Drake!

I'm off early this morning to pick up the 3 Seeley boys, as Manda has another early meeting today.

Tonight we have a feed supper to go to when the boys leave & then we have to make a quick trip to Menards in Ottumwa to pick up some things for the carpenter to be able to fix my outside house faucet.

I hope you have a very special Thursday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- 'Jar of Haunts'

Here is one of my Halloween Treat bags for my upcoming Halloween Treats class!

Didn't it turn out super cute!  That mummy jar is just adorable!!!  This is just a great little treat bag!
I used our Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags, folded it to make another pocket...so there is a pocket to put treats into & a pocket for a card insert that you can stamp on (as I did above with the spider web, spider & words).

stamp sets:  'Spooky Fun' & 'Jar of Haunts'
card stock:  Basic Black, Whisper White
designer paper:  Halloween Night Specialty DSP (12x12)
ink:  Archival Basic Black
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Everyday Jars Framelits, Basic Black Baker's Twine, 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 1/2" Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Yesterday was a busy day with all of our boys!!  The twins went with Papa for a couple of hours after lunch to go pick up Uncle Nathan's motor that was getting fixed & they stopped at Duwa's to check out all of the 'goodies' there for their upcoming fall auction this week.  We baked cookies & played outside for awhile after they got home.

When the boys left last night I worked on getting all of the caulking scrapped off of the windows, watered plants & worked in the yard.  It was almost dark when I got in & Deke didn't get in until about 9:00.  I made tenderloins for supper & then worked on farm bookwork before calling it a night.  I had hoped to stamp, but I just didn't get that far.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office.  He then has an appointment later this morning to get the truck worked on.  I'm off early to pick up the boys.  Today will be the twins 1st day of Pre-School, so it is another 'first' for us!!  I hope they like it!!  Brody is excited & Drake is worried.  I will take them to school & then they'll ride the bus home.  I can't wait to hear all about their day tonight when they get home.

Nathan & Sarah are going to the Boone Nationals this afternoon/tonight- so Masen is staying with us.  We'll go to Brayden's FB game.  And then Manda will keep Masen for me for a couple of hours, so we can come home & I'll help Deke sell hogs, as tonight is my farmer night.  When we get done loading hogs, I'll go pick up Masen & he'll stay all night with us.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- Some Spooky decor

Check out this spooky Halloween framed decor I made yesterday.  This is one of the projects for my upcoming Halloween Treats class.

My demonstrator friend BJ did a framed decor similar to this layout.  I loved hers & changed it some- coming up with this project for my upcoming class.  I think it turned out super cute!  When I showed it to Deke last night he thought it was cool!  So that was a nice compliment of his approval.
The size of this is 5x7".  Everyone will get to make the 5x7 Halloween insert at my Halloween Treats class, but the frame is not included in the class.  I just bought this one at Dollar General for $2.00- so it wasn't expensive.  It is just a black plastic frame.
++++++++
Oh wow- I spent my whole day stamping yesterday!!  I finished a monthly swap I'm in & got it all ready to mail out yesterday moring!  And then I spent the rest of the day creating the remainder of the treat projets for my upcoming Halloween Treats class.

I shared the 'fun fold' cards with you last week, but you can see them again by CLICKING HERE to see my Halloween Treats class fun fold cards!

Deke is off early to chore this morning & then head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off early to go pick up the boys, as Manda has an early meeting this morning.

I am hoping the weather is nice today, as I plan to take the boys to the What Cheer park to play this morning.  Tonight when they all go home I'll be burning the midnight oil working on creating cards for my monthly September classes.

Gotta run......
I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- 'Stylized Birthday'

Wow- today is simple Sunday!!!   This is a clean & simple card- yet I really like it!

This is a quick card that I mass produced this past week to send out.  I used the new Petals & Paisleys Designer Paper, along with the coordinating 3/8" Ribbon Trio Pack (Rich Razzleberry).  This new designer paper is really pretty & has a lot of variety in designs & colors.

And I really like the font used in this single stamp "Stylized Birthday"!!
stamp set:  'Stylized Birthday'
card stock:  Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede
designer paper:  Petals & Paisleys DSP (12x12)
ink:  Rich Razzleberry
other:  3/8" Ribbon Trio Pack (Rich Razzleberry), Dimensionals, Glue Dot

Yesterday Brayden & Masen were here in the morning with me, while Nathan & Sarah were getting everything all packed up & the race car ready to head out for their weekend of camping & racing.  The Seeley family is joining them.  They are all headed out to Deer Creek, Minnesota.  When they left I spent the rest of my day sorting orders & getting caught up on bookwork (both stamping & farming).  I made a couple of cards last night too.

Makenzy & Scott were here most of the day yesterday & got the front of our house all ready for Ben to come brick it next week.  I can't wait until it is done!  I hope I like the brick color & everything when it is finished.

This morning I hope to get some stamping done, while Deke catches up on the farm!!  And then this afternoon/evening we are headed up to Cresco to the races!!  The Wood Family & the Seeley Family will both meet us there.  Hope Nathan has good luck!

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- Halloween

Woo Hoo!  Here is a photo of 5 "fun fold cards"  that I created for my upcoming Halloween Treats Class!!

There is alot of new Holiday Catalog products used in these cards.  I hope to get the rest of the treats for this class created today & tomorrow.
 +++++++

Yesterday was a beautiful day out!  We had fun playing outside & enjoying it.  Last night I worked on bookwork.

I am home all day today!  Nathan is racing in Minnesota again tonight, so his family & the Seeley family will all be going up there for the weekend.  Deke & I will be home alone.  I plan to work on bookwork all morning & stamp all afternoon/evening!

Our siding on the bottom part of our house is rotten & we have been getting things ready to replace it with brick.  When we built our house 23 years ago we put a brick ledge down with the speculation that we'd brick it all someday.  Well, we are only going to brick the bottom half of it.  So Deke has been working on removing the old, cutting the cement & getting things ready for our carpenter to come.  He is suppose to be here today!  And then our brick layer will be here next Wednesday.  I can't wait until it is done.  We are both tired of the mess outside.  And we're anxious to see how different it will look.

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!!

Yesterday we were on the go.  The boys had a good check-up from Dr. Mary!  They are now all set to start pre-school next Wednesday!  We got home mid afternoon.  I worked on placing orders & doing bookwork.

Last night the guys all went racing in Minnesota for an Iron Man (USRA) race.  Nathan got 5th in his heat & 8th in the main.  There was a large field of cars there, so he did good.

Since the guys were gone- Manda, Sarah & I took the boys & went to the park to play!  We picked up a Casey's Pizza & ate supper together in the shelter there too.  The weather was perfect & the boys all had a great time!  They played hard, so they should have all slept good last night.  When I got home I did a little more bookwork, picked up toys, etc.....and finally called it a night.  I had hoped to get to stamp, but that didn't quite happen.

This morning I'm off to pick up the boys for the day.  Tonight when they all go home I plan to spend my night stamping!

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up~ A 'Spooky Fun' Haunted House

Here is another spooky Halloween card that is one of the projects for my upcoming Halloween Treats class.  Don't you want to join me for this upcoming class & make this card too?

Look closely at all of these images on this card-
  • the haunted house
  • the little bats
  • the tree
  • the gate
  • and grave stones
All of these images are a piece of designer paper that I cut from the Halloween Night Specialty DSP.

I added these to the designer paper-
  • I stamped the bigger bat
  • I stamped & cut out the 3 little ghosts- using my Archival Basic Black ink pad & Vellum card stock!
Isn't it so cute!!  I love the way it turned out.  It is a fun Z fold card!

Yesterday was a busy day filled with boys!  It rained on & off- so we didn't get to go outside to play.

When the boys left I went out to help Deke on the farm- sort & load hogs.  We got soaked.  It was hot, muggy & raining- not fun!  When we got in, we quickly showered & headed to our annual Farm Bureau meeting/supper.  When we got home I answered emails from the day & called it a day.  We were both beat.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for the morning.  I'm off early to pick up the boys for the day.  Tonight we'll all be going to Brayden's football game & then head to the races for the final night of this seasons races at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Osky- to cheer Nathan on!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up!- Paisley Ghosts!

OH my gosh......I've been having fun creating cards for my upcoming Annual "Halloween Treats" class.  This is one of the cards that everyone joining me for my "Halloween Treats" class will get to make.  I think it is adorable & I just love it!

At my "Halloween Treats" class everyone will be making an assortment of cards & gift box/bags for Halloween!  The cards are all fun fold/techniques too!  If you love Halloween you should be sure to join me for one of these upcoming classes!  And I'll be offering my Banner Halloween Wreath too- as an add on to this class.  You can see my Banner Halloween Wreath by CLICKING HERE!!

These little ghosts are just sooooo stinkin' cute!  I just love their smiles.  They just look really ornery!  (Kind of like the little boys I have here each day!)
So what do you think of this stair step fold ghost card?  Isn't it just adorable!  Who wouldn't like getting this card!!  It also makes a cute decorative item to sit on a desk or shelf too!

stamp sets:  'Ghoulish Grunge', 'Spooky Fun' & 'Suite Seasons'
card stock:  Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie & Very Vanilla
ink:  Archival Basic Black & Whisper White CRAFT ink
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Paisley Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Sponge Dauber, Dimensionals, Decorative Label Punch

Yesterday was a fun day with the boys celebrating the twins 5th birthday!  Birthday hats, blow horns, streamers hanging in the doorways, Grandma's Crispix Cakes & all!  They were excited & had a fun day!  Brayden was here after school too- so they all enjoyed getting to play outside together.

When the boys went home last night I did a little bit of bookwork & called it a night.  I wasn't feeling very well & just really needed to go to bed.

I'm up early this morning to go pick up all of my boys & take Brayden to school.  We didn't make it to the park yesterday to play (due to the rain), so we might make it there today, depending on the weather.  Tonight we have a Farm Bureau supper/meeting that we'll be attending.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Happy Stamping!

"Happy 5th Birthday" to Brody & Drake!!

Today is Brody & Drake's 5th birthday!!  Oh my gosh......I so remember the day they were born.  It sure doesn't seem like it has been 5 years.  They are such a blessing in our lives!  It has been fun getting to spend time with them as they grow up.  In a couple of weeks they will start pre-school.  That will be a big change for all of us.  One that I think we are all ready for too.
Here is their birthday invite that Manda & I made for them.  They both picked a different theme for their birthday this year, but we got them talked in to both agreeing on Angry Birds.......so it was cute & fun!
+++++
Yesterday morning I worked on the farm helping Deke.  Nathan & Steve came & helped us for awhile too.  We were sorting & moving pigs around.  Manda & the 3 boys came too & they played on the swing & outside.....while we worked with the pigs.

Yesterday afternoon I worked on stamping stuff.  I can't see where I made a dent on my list though.  I'm just so far behind.

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I'm off early to get my walk in & head in to pick up the boys, as Manda has an early meeting before school today.

The boys have been wanting to go to What Cheer to play in the park.  If they are good & the weather is ok we might do that this morning.

I have their birthday banner & streamers up!  And I have all of the stuff out to get their crispix birthday cakes made too.  They wanted to help me make them- so we'll see how that goes.

Tonight when the boys go home I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping!  Deke has another meeting tonight in Fairfield- so he won't be home.

Gotta run.....
I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!

Stampin' Up!- Angry Bird Spinner cards!

Oh gosh......check out the Angry Bird spinner cards that I made for the twins for their birthday!!  They spin great!!  The hardest part was probably figuring out & cutting all of the little pieces to make a tiny Angry Bird.
I think he turned out cute!  And it was so easy to make the spinner part using the new Sliding Star Framelits.

stamp set:  'Birthday Fiesta' (words)
card stock:  Real Red, Basic Black, Crushed Curry
designer paper:  Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (12x12)
ink:  Black Memento pad
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Sliding Star Framelits, Regals Enamel Dots, Foam Adhesive Strips, Dimensionals, 1 3/4" Circle Punch (for the DSP), 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Blossom Punch, Owl Punch

I used 2 penny's with a dimensional in between them to make the spinner.   I then used another dimensional to attach the little Angry Bird onto the penny.

What did I use to make the Angry Bird?
  • Face- 1 1/4" Circle Punch- Real Red
  • Bottom of Face- top half of 1 1/4" Circle Punch - Sahara Sand
  • Eyes- Large Circles from Owl Punch- Whisper White
  • Eye dots- Tiny Circles from Owl Punch- Basic Black
  • Eyebrows- Fussy cut tiny strips- Basic Blac
  • Beak-Fussy cut a little square & cut in half

Here is the placement I used for putting on the Foam Adhesive strips.
    ++++++
Yesterday was a busy day getting ready for the twins birthday party!  We all had a great time at their party last night!!
Brayden, Drake, Brody, Keifer (their cousin on their dads' side) & Trey
The birthday boys opening up their gifts.....Drake & Brody!
They are all excited!!  They got new bikes!
My mom (great-grandma Sharon), reading a book to Masen!

I am home today to work on the farm!  Nathan & Steve are going to come help us this morning, sort & move pigs before it gets too hot out.

This afternoon/evening I hope to get caught up on bookwork & maybe find time to stamp!

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
    Happy Stamping!
