'Swallowtail' butterfly

Good morning!!
Here is a pretty card that was soooo easy!
It made me remember why I fell in love with stamping!
It is because of all of the cool techniques you can do.
Yep- that is me....a technique junkie at heart!
I especially like the easy technique of embossing.
It is just such a wow!
I remember the oohs & awhhs when I first saw it
& I love hearing them when I share embossing with new customers now too!
Here all I did was emboss the butterfly with black embossing powder
& then sponge on a rainbow of different colors.

I will update this post with a supply list soon.

What a  BUSY & fun day on the farm we had yesterday!
The new piggies are so cute!
The boys had a blast.
They were so tired.
We were outside most of the day helping Papa.
I'm was so tired too.
Thankfully Nathan helped us sort, load & sell hogs last night.

All of the boys are excited that we are RACING tonight!
This will be our first family night of attending the Southern Iowa Speedway
this year to cheer on Nathan.
I hope that he has good luck!
I think that all 3 boys will just stay over night here afterwards.
Or anyways- that is the plan at the moment.

I am hoping the weather is nice today & the boys can help me
& we'll get some flowers planted.
Deke is gone all day to meetings.

Ok....off I go to get the boys.....
I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday.
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!

This weeks WEEKLY DEALS- May 20th- 26th, 2014

Coloring with the White Chalk Marker....

Good morning!
Here is another STYC card.
My dear demonstrator friend & Stampin' Sister- Lyssa
did a card that was similar to this that I loved.
So I copied hers & changed the fold a bit for this card.
The White Chalk Markers are just so cool!
And that is how I colored these flowers.
Crumb Cake is one of my favorite colors.
And it is just stunning here with the Early Espresso with it.

I will update this post with a supply list sometime soon.

I'm off soon to pick up the boys.
Then I will be a farmer the rest of the day.
We get baby piggies in this morning.
And then this afternoon/evening we will be sorting pigs from our outside lot
& loading them whenever our semi gets here.
Not sure what time that will be- so it might be another late night on the farm.

Last night I took the boys home after work &
stayed at Manda's to help her plant flowers.
They sure are pretty!
(Now for me to find time to get flowers planted at our house sometime.)
Brayden & Nathan were here & brought mushrooms for supper- which were yummy!
And then I stamped the night away after they left,
as I was making my monthly swap I'm in with Carol.
I used the upcoming new stamp set- 'Sea Street' & coordinating designer paper.
I will share this sneak peek with you soon.

Ok.....gotta run.
I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!

Another sneak peek...... 'Work of Art'!

Hello!
Here is a quick post.....sharing another sneak peek card for you
from the upcoming new catalog.
You can order this & other new stamp sets on June 2nd, 2014!

 'Work of Art'
cs:  Smokey Slate, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
ink:  Rich Razzleberry & Smokey Slate
supplies:  Basic Rhinestones, dimensionals, 2 1/2" Circle punch, 1 3/4" Circle punch

Brody did great yesterday.
Thanks for keeping him in your thoughts & prayers.
Here is Manda's post she put on Face Book last night.
Brody was a champ again today- didn't even shed a tear while getting his IV! Dr. Menezes is on a leave for family reasons so we saw Dr. Wilson. He said there isn't noticeable bone growth from the previous scan but he didn't sound discouraged. He said the brain is fine and we just need to give the skull/bone time to grow/catch up now that his head growth overall should slow down. The best news was that we don't have to go back for another scan for a year!! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers! We told Brody the next time he is back at the U we will be bringing his baby brother into the world!

Woo Hoo!
I've been burning the midnight oil creating for my monthly classes

that I have tonight, Saturday & Sunday.
I can't wait to have everyone join me to stamp!

Gotta run to get the boys....

I hope you have a very special day!!
Happy Stamping!
hugs!

I shadow stamped the hearts to get the progression of dark to light colors.

It is not fun making super at midnight.

Today I'll just have Drake, as Brody has a CT/sedation scan.
(See post below)
And Brayden is still sick......so he'll be here for a few hours this morning with us.
I feel so sorry for him.....getting his tonsils out has not been a good experience for him at all.
I pray he heals fast & feels better soon.
What a week he has had.

Tonight I'll be a stampin' fool!
I have lots to do!!
I pray I have good mojo!
The guys will be racing....so hope they have good luck!

Photo: This lil cheeser heads in for CT number 4 & sedation in the morning! All positive thoughts and prayers are appreciated. Keeping our fingers crossed we get a good report! <3
Manda posted this on our face book pages last night

A Chevron Punch 'LATTICE'!

Hello!
Here is another card from STYC.
I love the LATTICE- don't you!
'Petite Petals', 'Hardwood' & 'Too Kind'
cs:  Raspberry Ripple, Crumb Cake, Whisper White & Early Epresso
ink:  Raspberry Ripple & Early Espresso

2 1/2" Circle Punch, 2 3/8" Scalloped Circle Punch, dimensionals, glue dots,
Essentionals Paper Piercing Pack template

This 'Hardwood' background stamp is one of my favorites.
It is just so versatile.
On this card I took a ruler & drew straight lines on the boards
& added dots for nails...to make it look more like boards.
What do you think?

We are finally "HOME SWEET HOME"!
We walked in our door at 2 am yesterday (Monday morning)-
after spending all day Sunday in the airport with delayed & cancelled flights.
We had an amazing time last week with our Stampin' Up! family.
But it is always so nice to be home again to our family,
sleep in our own bed, shower in our own shower, etc.
We are truly blessed!!

We literally got off of the plane- hitting the ground running.
We both have a crazy busy week here.
Deke left early yesterday morning for meetings.
And I was blessed with all 3 of my boys.
Nothing is sweeter than our little ones hugging us telling us they missed us too!
Poor Brayden got his tonsils out last Thursday & isn't feeling so well yet.
Hope he is better soon!!

Yikes- I have mounds of laundry, piles of mail & 372 emails to catch up on.
Deke will be home today- moving pigs & washing buildings today,
as we are getting ready for new baby piggies that come next week.

Last night I got a few loads of laundry done.
And I got my Burlap & Blossoms Wreath for Saturday mornings class all created.
It is so CUTE!!!
I'm so excited about making this with everyone coming.
You are all going to love it too!

I'm off to pick up the boys this morning & spend the day with them.
Tonight I'll be working on laundry & figuring out cards for this weeks classes.
Deke has a night time meeting.
And then we are selling hogs LATE- after he gets home....
so we'll be burning the midnight oil around here out on the farm.

My Uncle Jerry & Aunt Kathy were gracious enough to take care of our animals while we were gone.
We can't thank them enough for doing all of our chores-
as it is so hard for us to be able to leave with all that we have to do here.
Bless them!
We can't thank them enough for helping us out!

Gotta run...
I hope you have a TERRIFIC day!
Happy Stamping!
Hugs!
