Baby wipes.......have multiple uses!

Good morning!
I'm off to a workshop in Hiawatha today.  Sandy & Ruth are co-hostessing.  They have several friends coming.  I can't wait to stamp with all of them!!

Here is one of the cards that they will be stamping today.  It is created with the single stamp- 'Tweet Leaves' from the Holiday Catalog.  I created a stamp pad using 3 folded baby wipes & add circles of various ink refills directly onto them to create this multicolored image.

This is a beautiful technique to do with leaves or anything that is a solid type image that you don't want to have to color each image in with markers.

Check out this layout!  It is called a tri-fold with a twist.  I first saw this layout at convention on a display board & later Shelli Gardner posted one on her blog.  I think that this makes a pretty fall card.

'Tweet Leaves' & 'Embellished Events'
cs:  Soft Suede, Early Espresso, More Mustard, Cajun Crazy, Naturals Ivory
ink:  Soft Suede
various ink refills- Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake
supplies:  Big Shot, Window Framelits, Autumn Accents die, Cotton ribbon, Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Antique brads, dimensionals, Paper Piercing tool, Piercing mat, Festive Paper Piercing Pack, Word Window punch, Little Labels punch pack, Champagne Shimmer paint spray mix (gotta have that sparkle & bling)!

I spent the day yesterday working on my Stamp 'Til You Cramp projects!!  WOW- I'm EXCITED!!  I have LOTS of cool things to share with those that are attending that day.  Believe me- you'll be going home with TONS of really neat projects!  Be sure you are registered by this Wednesday if you are planning to come, as this is the last day you can sign up.

We got almost 1" of rain in the past 24 plus hours & it is still coming.....just nice & easy.  YIPEE!!!  What a nice treat.  I loved hearing the thunder & rain coming down.  Sounds we have not heard much of at all this year.  We'll take what we can get......but we need lots more rain.  I am not complaining though- at least we were blessed with this!

Hope you enjoy your Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

Another "Greeting Card Kids" card

Good morning!

Everyone attending my workshops this months has to make a choice.  They can either make this Halloween girl or the Christmas girl.  That is a hard decision I know!!   They are both really cute!

So- here is the same card that I posted yesterday, but I used Pumpkin Pie designer paper along the edges & I used a different stamp from this set.  What a cute little witch!  HUH!

'Greeting Card Kids' & Teeny Tiny Wishes'
cs:  Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake, Naturals White
Brights Designer Series Paper Pack
ink:  Black Stazon
markers: Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip
supplies:  Big Shot, Chevron Embossing folder, word window punch, Modern Label punch, 2 1/2" circle punch, Designer Ribbon slides, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 2 way glue pen, Dimensionals, glue dot, Blender pens, Wild Wasabi Stitched ribbon
I think she is just adorable too!!
I colored her with blender pens & markers to give her a more subtle look.
I used the top of my stamp case as my color palate & scribbled the markers on top of it (using the brush tipped (wide) end), then picked up the colors with my blender pen & colored onto the stamped image.
I used Naturals White card stock.
NOTE:  Very Vanilla & Whisper White card stock don't work well when trying to watercolor.  Our watercolor paper would have been the best choice, but the piece of cardstock I stamped this image onto is on the inside of the card & measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/8".

I didn't have any bladder or kidney infection when I went to the dr yesterday- so guess that is good news!  I do have a cyst on my ovary & hoping it goes away on it's own soon or I will be going back to the dr next week for an ultrasound & the next step.  Thanks for notes & phone calls checking on me!  I am still really sore & tired.   Hope to be back to normal soon!

I am planning to be home all day today!!  LOTS to do to plan my big upcoming Stamp 'Til You Cramp!  I have more ideas to share then we have time to do that day, so have to get things narrowed down.

Have a great weekend!!
Happy Stamping!

'Greeting Card Kids'

Good morning!
No boys today....Manda has the day off & gets to stay home with them.  She has had Parent Teachers Conferences the past 2 nights, so nice she is home & will get an extra day with them.

I've been having lower back pain & lower abdominal pain since Monday & it is getting worse so I'm off to the dr today.  Praying it isn't anything too serious- I don't have time to be sick.  I am also tired of hurting so bad though.

We all had a FUN time stamping last night!!  Glad to see those that joined me.  Everyone stamped some cute cards!!  Here is one of them.......I love this cute little 'Greeting Card Kids' Christmas/Winter girl.

'Greeting Card Kids' & Teeny Tiny Wishes'

This is a window card.
I punched the window out of the front that opens up with the 2 1/2" circle punch.
I think this little girl is just adorable!
I love the softened look of coloring with markers & blender pens.

Have a great day!

Another 'Watercolor Winter' pinecone

Good morning!

Here is another Christmas card that I created using the 'Watercolor Winter' stamp set.  I really like this card & debated on it being one of my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack cards.   But I used this layout then with the Holly & Berries instead.  It is the last Christmas Stamp-a-Stack card that I posted yesterday- so note that they are the same layout!

'Watercolor Winter' & 'Greetings of the Season'
cs:  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake & Very Vanilla
ink:  Always Artichoke & Early Espresso
supplies:  Big Shot, Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Label Collections framelits, sponge & dimensionals, Crumb Cake Seam Binding ribbon, glue dot, Champagne Shimmer Paint/Spray
Late yesterday afternoon Deke & I went to the visitation of our classmates mom- Sarah Smithart.   Sarah use to be the cook at Sigourney & then worked at our local vet office- PLUS much more in our community!  She will be missed by many!  Then when we got home we changed clothes & off we went to load hogs & got in late.  We did get a little bit of rain last night- which was very welcomed- even though we got wet standing in line at the visitation.  We are suppose to get some more on Saturday & pray we do!

Today "bright & early" I have all 3 boys, as Nathan & Manda both have to be at school early for meetings.  I think that Brayden is going to go ride in the combine with Uncle Jerry & Aunt Kathy for awhile later this morning.  Deke will be out of town for a long meeting all day.  AND MAYBE if I am lucky the twins will take a nap & I can get some card stock folded & big shot things cut for my Stampin' Night I have here tomorrow night.

Hope you have a great day!!
Happy Stamping!

'Watercolor Winter' Holly & Berries

Good morning.....
Here is my last Christmas 'Stamp-a-Stack' card.
I had a hard time trying to decide if I wanted this going with the stems up or down.  But I wanted the ribbon below- so chose this way.

'Watercolor Winter' & 'Greetings of the Season'
cs:  Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke & Very Vanilla
ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke & Early Espresso
supplies:  Big Shot, Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Labels Collection Framelits, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon, glue dots, dimensionals, Champagne Shimmer Paint/Spray, Blender pen

Busy day yesterday......
  • Took Drake to the dr. for an ear infection & got meds.
  • While we were out we went to the Manor House to see Ford & Juanita McFarlan.  It was Ford's 92nd birthday!!!  He said that seeing the twins made his day!  Both Ford & Juanita had to hold the boys- so cute!  We'll have to go visit them there more often.  We also got to see Barb & Gary McFarlan too while there- so that was an added treat.  Ford & Juanita are dear family friends of both Deke & mine.  They were best friends of my grandparents, plus their kids (Gary & Sue) were friends of my parents & Juanita worked at Deke's grandma's bank for years.  Quite a history!
  •  We met Papa Deke at the Pizza Ranch for lunch & ran into Beth & Josh, so ate with them.
  • Then stopped by the courthouse to get our flu shots & say hi to many friends there before getting back home.
  • I cut the twins hair last night & the Seeley family ate super with us.  Then twins spent the night with us as Manda had a terrible migraine.  Hope she feels better this morning.
I am hoping the boys & I can go outside for a walk & swing today if it gets warm enough & not too windy.  We sell hogs tonight & I'm going right to bed when we get done & crash!!  It has been a long past few week & not much sleep here.

Hope you have a fabulous day!!
Happy Stamping!

'Watercolor Winter' Pincones......

Happy Monday everyone!

WOW- I had a fun workshop yesterday with Shelly & everyone who joined us!  What a great afternoon of sharing my love of stamping!!  I think everyone had fun & liked all of the cards that we made!!

Here is the 2nd of my 'Watercolor Winter' Christmas Stamp-a-Stack cards.   It is similar to a card that a demonstrator friend Dawn made & I saw clear back in July.  So I CASED (Copy And Share Everything) her layout, but changed the colors & the technique part of it!!  I love Early Espresso & Crumb Cake together- I don't think I can ever get tired of them.  They are perfect combos for this wintery card.

'Watercolor Winter' & 'Greetings of the Season'
cs:  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake & Very Vanilla
ink:  Always Artichoke & Early Espresso
supplies:  Big Shot, Lacy Brocade embossing folder, sponge & dimensionals

Oh.... I am ready for my boys!
I hope you have a good week!

Good morning!  Yesterday was National Card Making Day!  Did you make any cards?  I hope many of you did.  I know that I got a message from Maggie that she did!!  Her note to me on doing this just made my day!!!

I enjoyed my day with all 3 boys yesterday.
It was hard for them to understand they couldn't go out to play since it was so cold.
Drake threw a little fit.
We may have to play in the garage all winter!

The twins will be here soon, as Manda & Steve have a wedding today,
so the boys will be spending the day with Mamma again.
I have some more cards to create & lots of cutting to do.
i will make the most of my time today so I can get some sleep tonight!
So far I have some cute things created for Shelly's workshop tomorrow!
My mojo was flowing last night- hope to continue that today!!

It sure is cold outside.
I was hoping for a longer fall.
I am not ready for winter- hope it warms back up.
We started our furnace before we went to bed last night.
I think the guys froze at the races.
Nathan didn't draw well, but Deke said he looked good though!
He started 16th & got 8th with no cautions- so that is good.
Wish him loads of luck for tonight.

Gotta run.....lots to do today.

I hope you have a great day!!
