We are liking the little cooler temps.  It was nice working on the farm early yesterday morning with the hogs.  I then enjoyed my day with Masen.  He left around 1:30- as Nathan, Sarah & him are headed to Northern Iowa/Southern Minnesota on a 5 day Iron Man Stock Car Chase.  When Masen left I ran errands the rest of the afternoon- locker, recycle center, post office, grocery store, etc.

Last night after supper & dishes I stamped a few cards.  And then worked on taking all of my stamps off of my shelves.  Today I'll work on sorting them & reorganizing them with boxing up retired sets & putting any current/new sets back on the shelves.

I think I'm home alone today!  Deke has a meeting this afternoon, but will be here to work on the farm & eat lunch with me.  I hope to get alot accomplished today!  I'll be burning the midnight oil tonight stamping, as I'll be working on projects for upcoming stamp classes.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Thursday!
Happy Stamping!

LOVE using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits!

Check out this cute card I made for Stacy & Chase's wedding reception.  I used the new Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  COOL HUH!

card stock:  Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler
ink:  Cherry Cobbler

I was amazed at how easy this new thinlit set cut & the pieces came out!

Hope Stacy & Chase liked their card & gift of money we gave to them.

Yesterday was a fun day with only the 2 little guys here.  They are best buds.  Masen is getting bigger now & the 2 of them can play.

Last night Deke got in late for supper.  By the time I got the dishes done & toys picked up I was done for the day.

I did get alittle stamping done though when the boys left......so that was good!

Due to the upcoming holiday next week our hog selling day is a day ahead of normal.  So this morning Deke & I are off early to mark, sort & load a semi of hogs.  Deke will then chore & head to his courthouse office for the morning.  Masen will be here again spending the day with me.  When he goes home tonight I hope to get to work on putting more stamp stuff away.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Happy Stamping!

An adorable teddy bear!!

Here is an adorable teddy bear!!  Oh my gosh.....when I first saw this set I knew I would love it!  What a great multi stamp set this is.  It lines up so easy!

Notice the Tip Top Taupe 2x 4 1/4" layer I have here on the front of the card.  It almost looks like suede.  I did the direct to paper technique on it- by putting my stamp pad directly down (lightly) to my card stock & twisting & turning it to get different directions on it.
There are actually 3 different layers to this little teddy bear, but I only used 2 of them.  I stamped the more solid image first using Crumb Cake ink.  I then stamped the other stamp using the Tip Top Taupe ink.  This 2nd image is what give you his eyes, nose, ears, feet, etc.

stamp set:  'Baby Bear' (NEW)
card stock:  Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White
ink:  Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macron, Crumb Cake
other:  Paper Snips, Dimensionals, Glue Dot, Classic Label Punch (NEW)

Yesterday I ended up not having Masen, so I was home alone all day!  I literally spent my whole day stamping!!  I went through boxes of left over class projects, stamping & putting things away.  I created cards using new products, with left over class pieces.  It was a challenge for me- which I loved!

Deke worked late on the farm & then in the shop last night helping Nathan on his race car.  I made him a late supper when he got in & we went to bed.

Today Deke will be home to work on the farm all day.  And Masen will be spending the day with G'ma.  Tonight when he goes home I'll work on emptying more boxes of left over stamp stuff & stamping!

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Last night we went to Brayden's game in North English.  They won!  We got to see some friends & family there too, as my nephew Luke played after Brayden's game, so we stayed for awhile & watch him too.

We are off after bit to my friend Donna's, daughter's wedding reception.  They got married in Mexico in March, but we'll be celebrating today.  I am hoping Deke has time for me to give him a quick hair cut in between doing chores too- before we leave.

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!

Check out this NEW Ombre ink pad!

Check out the Ombre look on this new ink pad!

This is a quick & simple card that I shared at my team meeting last weekend, so that everyone could pay with this new ink pad.

When using one of the new Ombre ink pads you'll want to choose a more solid style imaged stamp so that you can see the variances in the color.  Pretty cool huh!

And I did add the Clear Wink of Stella over the top of the swirls to give it a sparkle too!

stamp sets:  'Stylized Birthday' & 'Swirly Bird'
card stock:  Rich Razzleberry & Whisper White
ink:  Rich Razzleberry Ombre & Emerald Envy

Yesterday was a busy day with the 3 older boys.  They went with me to meet Deke (after his meetings) in Ottumwa to run to Menards for a new storm door & we ate lunch at McDonalds.  Then Deke came home & the boys & I took back brick samples.  Then home to play in the yard for the afternoon.

Last night we worked in the yard for a few hours, came in for a late supper & I was just beat.  I laid down on the couch to watch a movie with Deke & I fell asleep!  I rarely ever do that.

We are home today!  I'm headed out to help Deke a bit on the farm.  Then Brayden will be here later today & tonight we'll go to his ball game.

I'm hoping to get to work on some piles of things I have out yet from Monday- that I haven't had time to do yet.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!
Happy Stamping!

Yay- this was for Deke's birthday!!

Deke's birthday was on Sunday- June 19th!  Yep- the poor guy had to have 2 major days we celebrate, both fall on the same day!  We had our kids come for supper & we grilled out.  It was a nice time.  And know we all enjoyed it.

I had little time on Sunday to get everything all cleaned up from my team meeting that was here at our home on Sunday & get all of the food made & everything ready for our family supper too.  So I made a quick card for Deke's birthday card.  I thought it turned out really cute!  And the inspiration for this card came from this month's June Paper Pumpkin kit- as it has cone shaped cello bags in it & a circle over the top of them.  I think it turned out cute- what do you think?

Did you notice the NEW Burlap Ribbon behind the NEW Classic Label Punch?  Cute huh!

stamp set:  'Confetti Celebration'
card stock:  Soft Suede, Whisper White
designer paper:  Neutrals Designer Series Stack 12x12 (Soft Suede)
ink:  Soft Suede

Yesterday was a full day with all 5 boys!!

This morning we are up early to chore & then sell hogs.  So I'm a farmer this morning helping Deke.  When we get done loading hogs Deke will be headed to Ottumwa for 2 meetings that he has today.   And I'll have some of the boys here.  They'll have to go with me to go back & look at more brick, so we can get it ordered & ready for when Ben gets here to do it.

Tonight I think we'll be home!  I hope so.....I have lots I need to get done.

I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!

Our internet was down last night, so I'm hurrying this morning to get my post done & answer emails before all 5 of my boys walk in the door.  They will all be spending the day with me today.

Deke was off early this morning to chore & headed to the courthouse for another meeting & then spend the rest of the day in the office.

Tonight we'll all be heading to the races to cheer on Nathan.  Hope he has good luck tonight!

Yesterday morning I worked on farm bookwork & then stampin' bookwork.  I spent the afternoon/evening a stamping away!  I'm working on emptying baskets from past classes.  I need to get my old stuff put away & find room to add new stuff to my shelves for upcoming classes.

Deke was late getting home last night from his meeting in Fairfield.  He is off early this morning to chore & head to another meeting.  I'm up early to get my walk in before the boys get here.  Brayden & Masen will be here today.  Brayden is going with Aunt Kathy for a few hours to a play.  This afternoon we are headed to Osky to pick out brick.  The siding on the bottom part of our house is rotten.  We checked into replacing it last fall & have patiently been waiting for a family friend to come help Deke replace it with brick.  I'm excited!  And I'm hoping I find some that I like.

Tonight Brayden has a baseball game.  And I'll work on more stamping for a few hours when we get home, before I go to bed.

I have to share....as I celebrated my 15th year as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator on Sunday (Deke's birthday)!  When I signed up you had to mail in your paper work.  I mailed my paper work in on my dad's birthday (June 16th) & it officially went through the SU! home office on June 19th!  I am thrilled to celebrate this accomplishment!  I've met so many dear friends because of stamping!  Thank you for letting me share my love of stamping with you!!  And I look forward to lots of creating & sharing in the coming years!

Gotta run.....
I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

This morning Deke is off early to chore & head to the office for his weekly board meeting.  I think I'm home alone today!!  I'll wear many different hats today!  I need to get caught up on my farm bookwork, then do checking on stamp orders, get caught up on emails & unpack boxes from my monthly stamp classes.  Deke has another meeting tonight in Fairfield.....so I plan to spend my night stamping!

This little piggie!

OH my.....this is the card that I created for Trey's 2nd birthday!!  I thought that since he is such a little farmer & loves going outside with us- he'd like it.  Well- Manda said he was excited when he opened it & she asked him who made the card & he says- "Papa"!  Laughing- yes- Papa has the pigs & he does help G'ma cut card stock with the Big Shot, but don't think he's ever made a card.  No YET anyways!

Our morning started out early yesterday with selling hogs.  The 3 boys went out with us & they were really good!  When we got in we had had a late breakfast.  Drake was still running a temperature, so I got him an appointment to see dr. Sam.  I'm glad I took him.  He did have strep throat & got some medicine.  I'm so glad we went.  Now I'm just hoping that the rest of the boys don't get it.

When they left last night I burnt the midnight oil stamping!!  I have a team meeting tomorrow & I have lots I want to get done for that.

Today I THINK I'm home alone.  I have to go out to help Deke for awhile.  And I'm cooking a roaster of pork today, for my step nieces graduation party.  Brayden has a ball game tonight too.  So we are going to be on the run all day.  When I get home tomorrow night I'll be burning the midnight oil stamping again.

It's a "Z" fold card with a twist!

Here is a pretty fun fold card that everyone joining me for my June monthly classes got to make.
Check it out!!  Isn't it cool!  It is a basic Z fold with a twist to it!

  • I cut the base card in Old Olive- 4 1/4" x 11"- score at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2".
  • I cut the flip middle part in Old Olive at 1 1/2" x 11"- score at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2" & flipped it so that it folded the opposite of the card base.
I used the new In Color- Flirty Flamingo!  It looks really great with the Old Olive doesn't it.

stamp set:  'Love & Affection' (NEW) & 'Tin of Cards'
card stock:  Flirty Flamingo- (NEW) 4 x 5 1/4"; 4 x 2 1/2"
Old Olive- 4 1/4 x 11"; 1 1/2 x 11"- score both at 2 3/" & 5 1/2"
Whisper White- 4 x 2 1/2- Emboss Floral Affections on this piece; 1 1/4 x 2 1/2"- so adhere to Old Olive strip & stamp words on it- on the inside of the card.

Drake was sick yesterday....we had a long day!!  I went to the races by myself.  The guys, Sarah & Masen went to the pits.  Nathan won his heat & looked great!  He got hit in the rear right on the first lap during the main & got a flat tire, so did not finish.

We picked up the 3 Seeley boys on our way home from the races last night & they had a slumber party on the family room floor.  It was a long night.  They didn't sleep very well.

We are all off early this morning to sell hogs!  The semi is suppose to be here by 7:00.  The boys are excited....usually they only go out to help with little piggies, not big ones.  Poor Drake is still sick.....we'll be going to the dr later today.

I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!

MORE 'Perfectly Wrapped'

Here is another card I made using the 'Perfectly Wrapped' stamp set.  I can honestly say I love this set!  It was a new catalog set that was one that demonstrators could pre-order in May.  I have used it a ton!  Just look back over my post since the middle of May & you'll see lots of different cards made with it.

This is a card that I made for an upcoming swap!  I think it turned out super cute!!
stamp set: ' Perfectly Wrapped'
card stock:  Basic Black, Very Vanilla & Sweet Sugarplum
designer paper:  Playful Palette DSP 6x6 stack
ink:  Archival Basic Black
other:  2" Circle Punch, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals

Our morning started out with Deke headed to the dr.  He worked late in the shop last night & got something stuck in his ear.  It bothered him all night & was really bad when he got up.  Luckily when I called the clinic, Dr. Baker told him to come in right away.  He numbed his ear & got it out!!  So I was pretty much gone all day yesterday!!  Masen was with me all day/evening & he was a real trooper!

Brayden's team lost last night.  They played What Cheer & they were really good!  It was soooo hot....Brayden just looked beat after the game & soaked.

The guys burnt the midnight oil working in the shop, getting the race car ready- after we all got home from Brayden's game.  I went up for a little while & used my tear & tape adhesive & repaired some of the decal stickers on the race car.  WOW- that stuff is great!!!  Nathan was even amazed.  He wanted to know if i had any super glue.  I told him I had some better stuff! And it sure was!!  I was excited & happy that it worked so great!!

I then burnt the midnight oil stamping- working on swaps!

This morning Deke is off early to chore & then head to the office for the morning.  I'm off early to go pick up Masen & then Brody, Drake & Trey for the day.  Nathan & Manda are both in an all day meeting in Fairfield today.

Tonight we're all headed to the races to cheer Nathan on!!  I have my fingers crossed that he does good.  This is the one race all year he really wants to win, as it is my dad's birthday this week, (plus Deke & Sarah's birthdays too)!  It was 10 years ago this week that my dad passed away......and tonight (10 years ago)- was the last race my dad was ever at & Nathan won that night & got his picture taken with him.  So I'm hoping Nathan wins a trophy tonight to take to the cemetery to put on dad's lot.  We'll see how it goes.

The 3 Seeley boys are spending the night with us tonight after the races, as Manda has to leave early again tomorrow morning for an all day meeting.  And we have to load hogs early tomorrow morning.  So the 3 boys get to be early morning farmers, helping us load hogs.

Gotta run.......
I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!
Happy Stamping!

Check out Baymax!

Check out this Baymax birthday invite that I made for Trey.  He just loves this super hero!!  And was bound determined that his invites were going to be Baymax.  So this is what G'ma came up with for him.
stamp sets:  'Confetti Celebration' & 'Balloon Celebration'
card stock:  Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Real Red
ink:  Archival Basic Black & Real Red

retired:  various Oval punches & Real Red ribbon

His invite is clean & simple!  It has some new stamp sets too, along with some retired things- like ribbon & oval punches.

Below is a photo of Trey before he started opening his gifts.  We had a fun party.....it was just a little hot out.  Thankfully we were in their back yard under the trees & there was a little breeze.

I still can't believe our little Trey man is now 2.  He is actually like 2 going on 4!  Such a smart little guy!  As he melts G'ma & Papa's hearts too.

Yesterday I helped Deke in the afternoon for awhile.  Gosh it was hot out!!  Otherwise I spent the rest of the day catching up on laundry, placing orders & doing bookwork.  I accomplished alot in these 'areas'....now to get caught up on everything else!

This morning I'm off early to go pick up Masen for the day.  Nathan is in Des Moines for meetings for work this week & Sarah leaves home by 6:30 every morning for work.  Masen gets to hang out with us at our bank appointment today too.  And while we are in town I hope we get to run to the store for a few quick things too.

Tonight Brayden has a ball game- so we'll be headed to it.  When I get home I'll burn the midnight oil stamping!!  I have several swaps to make & lots to get ready for my upcoming team meeting that I am having here on Saturday!

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!

Yesterday was a busy, but a GREAT day of stamping!!  Sandy & Sherri were great hostesses & we all had a fun day together stamping!

Last night we enjoyed supper together & watched the boys swim in their pool- as we celebrated Trey's 2nd birthday!

I was hot & exhausted when I got home last night.  I didn't even unload the car- that will have to wait until this morning, so I'm off now to get that done.

Deke is off early to chore & then head to the courthouse for his weekly board meeting.

I think I'm home alone today.....and I have lots to get done.  I am praying I can get alot checked off of my long list of things I need to do!

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!
Happy Stamping!

Wow it was a busy day yesterday helping Manda & Steve get ready for Trey's 2nd Birthday party!  All of his grandparents, Great Grandparents & some great aunts & uncles were there to help celebrate.  We had a yummy supper & of course cake!  He had lots of fun!  It was a nice neat enjoyed by all- but it was rather HOT out.

And then I was a busy beaver cutting card stock yesterday afternoon & then last night when we got home from Trey's party.

This morning I'm up early to finish packing up, load the car & head out, as I have 2 stamp classes today.  (One this morning & one this afternoon.)  Sandy & Sherri are my hostesses!  I'm so excited about getting to see everyone that is joining us & share lots of new things from our new catalog with all of them!

Tonight I'll hurry home from my last class & head right to Manda & Steve's to meet the rest of my family there for supper to celebrate Trey's birthday!  I can't believe our little guy is 2 years old today!!  Tonight it will just be Deke & I; Manda, Steve & their 3 boys; plus Nathan, Sarah & their 2 boys- as they couldn't be there last night due to another family obligation on Sarah's side.  And the boys will get to go swimming too after we eat.

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

Lots of hearts!!

Here is a quick card that I made playing with some new Stampin' Up! products yesterday.  I needed a special thank you card to send to someone very sweet & this is what I came up with.  I hope she likes it when she gets it.

stamp set:  'Thankful Thoughts' (NEW)
card stock: Thick Whisper White,  Whisper White, Basic Black, Melon Mambo
designer paper: Pop of Pink Specialty DSP (12x 12 NEW)
ink:  Archival Basic Black
other:  Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Sweet & Sassy Framelits, Best Badge Punch, Dimensionals

Check out the scalloped edge along the bottom.  I love scallops & we no longer have the scalloped edge punch.  So I created a scallop here using our new Best Badge punch.  It was so easy!  And so cute!
I just used the bottom edge of the Best Badge punch & went along a 5" x 1" strip.  I started it out like this.
And this is what it looked like when I got done with it!!  Cool huh!
I also cut out & layered these 2 hearts together on my card.
This is the new Sweet & Sassy Framelit set!  It is only $35.00 & look at all of the different hearts that are included in ti!  There are 15 different heart framelits in this new framelits set!  WOW!!!

Yesterday was a full day doing bookwork & then burning the midnight oil cutting card stock for this weekends classes.  We did take a couple of hours & went to Brayden's ball game.

This morning I'm up early to get some more cutting done. I'm then headed into Manda's to help her get ready for Trey's 2nd birthday party that is tonight.  I hope to be home by noon to get lunch for Deke & work on getting more card stock cut.

Gotta run.......
I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

Yesterday was a LONG day!  WE were both beat when we got in late last night.  The heat wasn't fun!  I'm not a hot weather lover.  I am praying that all of our piggies get to the packing house ok & don't over heat & die on the semi.

Deke was so hot & dehydrated last night when we got in he had the chills & sick.  I was worried about him, but he is feeling a little better this morning.  I don't know if he just overheated yesterday or on top of it if he picked up the flu that Brayden had earlier this week too.  He still doesn't feel good....but much better, thankfully!

The boys had fun on the farm with us though yesterday.  I took some photos to share with you below.

Here is Drake, Brody, Trey & Papa Deke riding in the scout.  We are headed to the house for lunch!

Here is Brody, Trey & Drake.  They were suppose to smile!!  What fake smiles I got from all of them though!  Check out the little piggies in the background under the heat lamps.  They are just adorable & the boys had alot of fun helping us!

Deke is off early this morning to chore & has a meeting in Fairfield all day.  I THINK I'm home alone!!  I have LOTS of stamping stuff to get cut for this weekends classes......and lots of creating & cutting to do to get ready for a monthly swap I'm in too.  PLUS I'm having my team meeting next weekend & have LOTS of swaps & projects to create & get cut for that too.  But before I get to stamp today I have to catch up on farm bookwork.   I will be burning the midnight oil forsure.

Tonight Brayden has a ballgame......so we plan to run to town to watch him play too.

Gotta run......
I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!
