It is cleaned for the next step!

Just thought I'd share an update & some new photos of our fire clean up.

On Thursday Deke, his dad & Steve Bueheman worked all day!  They got alot accomplished.  Here is what it looks like now.  Steve had his big track hoe & his bull dozer here.
Next week the re-building process will start on the open front hog shed.  We aren't going to be able to afford to rebuild the bale shed for awhile, as there wasn't enough insurance money to cover the rebuild of both buildings that we lost.  So as of now.....that is on hold....and we go to the bank on Thursday, so will know more after that.

  1. Thank you for the update! I'm glad you are moving forward and getting things cleaned up and rebuilt. How unfortunate that insurance won't cover the rebuild of both buildings. The whole thing breaks my heart! Hugs to all of you!

  2. Oh thanks Julie!! We feel so bad that it happened while we were gone.....but we are finally feeling like there is light at the end of the tunnel. We are just so thankful it didn't spread any farther & that the piggies were all save. We feel so bad for Nathan having to have to deal with it all while we were gone. Gosh- you & Jim were the first to know about the fire since you were with us when we got the call. We are gaining......Deke got a "new temporary home" fixed up yesterday in an old barn down by our house for those 400 head of piggies & will get them moved yet today or tomorrow. They will be there until we get the new hog shed built.

You are a dear friend! We so enjoyed our time spent with you guys!! Thanks again! Hugs back!!!
