Here are some more of our family pictures I wanted to share!

How blessed we are!  I just wanted to share the rest of our family pictures with you.  I love them all!  Bless our son-in-law Steve for taking such awesome pictures for us.  Didn't he do a great job!  Don't you love our backdrops for all of our photos of the old buildings, the old loading dock & the bags of feed.  We took them all in Sigourney at our local feed dealers business.  We couldn't think of a better place to do them on a cold & snowy day than someplace close to our home, that meant something special to all of us!

I hope that you enjoy these pictures & seeing my family!

Last night I took the night off from working.  I actually sat on the couch & watched a movie with Deke & did nothing else at the same time.  Oh my gosh- I can't tell you when the last time I ever did that was.  I should have been stamping.....as have lots I need to be getting done.  But I did enjoy our night together hanging out.

We were up super early this morning, as Deke had to get chores done & he was on the road by 7:00 for a meeting in Burlington.  Manda & the boys will be here today.  I am looking forward to that.  Tonight I'm a farmer & will be outside helping Deke, as we sell hogs.  I am dreading dreading being outside in the cold for that long.

I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
Happy Stamping!

An Occasions Sneak Peek!

Here is a fun birthday card!  It is created with the new set- 'Celebrate Today'.  I got a swap from demonstrator Kim Allen that was similar to this.  Hers was very clean & simple & I loved it!  So I added some more layers & colors & created this card from her inspiration.

This balloon image is rather large & i would have never thought of stamping if part way off of the page like this.  ALSO NOTE that this stamp set has a coordinating Balloon Framelits to do with it!  When you purchase the stamp set & framelits together as a bundle you get a 15% savings.

ANOTHER SNEAK PEEK on this card is the stripped designer paper.  It is from the Best Ever Designer Series Package that you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-bration!

stamp set:  'Celebrate Today'
card stock:  Calypso Coral, Basic Black, Whisper White
ink:  Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Black Memento pad
marker:  Project Life Journaling Pen (for the balloon string)

I spent most of my day yesterday working on our farm bookwork.  I just have a little bit to finish up this morning.  while Deke goes to his meeting at the courthouse.  Then we have an end of year appointment with our CPA this afternoon.  I need to get a few groceries while we are in Osky.  And then I hope to get home at a decent time to get chores done & I want to stamp some tonight too.  I'm excited that my first stampin' party for 2015 is going to be this coming Sunday!!  My head is just a spinning with ideas & I need to get figured out what projects we'll be making so that I can get my reminder emails sent out.

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!

An Occasions Catalog Sneak Peak!

I worked on cards yesterday for swaps that I'm doing with some fellow demonstrator friends.  This is one that I created to swap with Kelly's group!  I guess I was in the red/white & black mode yesterday- as that is what I ended up creating with & making some different Valentines.
I think that this one turned out pretty cute!  But then I am a Valentines & Heart lover......so guess I'm partial in that area.  Isn't this new Confetti Heart Border Punch just so stinkin' cool!  Heck- all of these new products are stinkin' cool!  I especially LOVE the new Stacked with Love Paper Stack- they are all black & white on one side & then include the colors of Real Red, Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Black & Whisper White.

stamp set:  'You Plus Me'
card stock:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red
designer paper:  Stacked with Love Paper Stack (LOVE THIS!)
ink:  Black Memento Pad
supplies:  Confetti Heart Border Punch, Big Shot, Heart Framelits, 2 Way Glue Pen, What's Up Punch (arrow), dimensionals

 +++++++++

I pretty much stamped from the minute I got up yesterday morning until the minute I went to bed last night.  We have stamps all over our house again.  Brayden ended up going with his dad, so I was home alone.  I quit stamping long enough to make Deke lunch & supper & other than that I was in a creative mode.

I plan to stamp all day again today & hope to get my swaps all done.  Then I'll be switching modes & working on farm bookwork the next few days to get our end of year things all done.

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

An Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek!

Here is a new Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek!

stamp set:  'Crazy About You'
card stock:  Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Gold Foil Sheet, Vellum
designer paper:  Typeset
ink:  Black Memento
supplies:  Big Shot, Heart framelits, Hello You Thinlit Dies, Paper Snips, dimensionals, glue dot

This is pretty sweet huh!!!  I'm lovin' these new Hello You framelits!!  And I'm SO EXCITED about all of the new products in the upcoming Occasions Catalog that is coming soon- beginning January 6, 2015!

Even though this is black & vanilla- it would still make a cute Valentines card.

Oh Christmas Trees!

The boys each made Christmas trees!  What fun we had crafting together.  Here are their creations using Stampin' Up! products.
This one is Brayden's tree.  His is made using Garden Green card stock.
There are Brody & Drake's trees.
Their trees are Old Olive card stock.
card stock:  Old Olive, Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Early Espresso, Crushed Curry
supplies:  1/2" Circle punch, Star Framelit, Big Shot, 2 Way Glue Pen, Dimensionals

I cut 3 squares:  1= 4 1/4"; 1= 3 1/2" ; 1= 3"
I then cut them at a diagonal & they got 2 trees out of each square.
The tree base is 1 1/2" x 2 3/4".
They were pretty proud of their Christmas trees & couldn't wait to take home to put on their refrigerator.
We also made these super cute reindeer too!
+++++
We have had a busy & wonderful Christmas celebrating it with our family!  It definitely came & went too fast.  Gosh...before we know it, it will be Christmas again the way that time flies.
Deke & I are both home today.  Deke will be working on the farm & I'll be stamping away.  Nathan & Sarah are headed to pick up some race car parts so he can get busy & get his new race car built.  And Brayden will be here to spend some time with me.  Manda & Steve both have the day off- so they'll be at their home with their boys.  I've got a ton of stamping things to get done in the next few days.  Last night Deke & I watched a few movies & while doing so, I made the most of my time by cutting & putting together New Occasions Catalog products that just arrived on Tuesday.  I plan to play with them today & enjoy creating- hoping that I have good mojo.  I've got some swaps I've got to get in the mail today & some more I have to have in the mail tomorrow- so I'll be a busy bee creating & getting them done.
I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy stamping!

Merry Christmas!

Here is a garland swag card that I made clear back in October for a workshop & then I never posted.  I love this wreath stamp set & it is even cute when cut apart & made into a swag.
Does it look like snowflakes falling outside the window?  That was the look I was trying to get.

stamp set: 'Wonderous Wreath'
card stock: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Whisper White
designer paper:  Nordic Noel
ink: Real Red, Old Olive
other:  Big Shot, Wonderful Wreath Framelits, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, 1 1/4" Square Punch, Extra Large Oval Punch, Dimesionals, Glue Dots

NOTES:  The stamp set & coordinating framelits comes in a bundle & you can save 15% when purchasing them together.  These 2 items are also going to be carried over into the upcoming Occasions Catalog too!

We had a wonderful Christmas with our kids & grandsons yesterday afternoon/evening.  This morning we are going to my sister & brother-in-laws for lunch, then we'll stop at Deke's parents in the afternoon & we'll plan to be home tonight.

Christmas is the perfect time to celebrate the love of God & family & to create memories that will last forever.  May we remember the true meaning of Christmas & the indescribable gift of the birth of baby Jesus.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
Love & Blessings-

My December calendar page....

Happy Christmas Eve to each & every one of you!!

Here is my December calendar page......now my 2015 calendar is complete & I'll be sharing sneak peeks of new Occasions & Sale-a-bration samples in the coming weeks!

I do love this calendar though.  I know that many of you joined me at my December classes & made several of these to keep for yourself & give as gifts.  I love this yearly tradition of making calendars at all of my December classes instead of cards.  But cards are back in January!  I updated my calendar on my SU! website www.susiewood.stampinup.net & sent out emails yesterday about my January classes.  I'm excited about the new Occasions Catalog & the Sale-a-bration Catalog & I can't wait to be stamping with many of you in a couple of weeks!

The stamp set 'Ornamental Pines' that I used on this December page is very elegant, yet a versatile set.  Gosh- I think it would even make a nice guy card too!  If you look closely- can you see the glitter I added to the pine branches?  I love the sparkle!
Stamp set:  'Ornamental Pine'
cardstock: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
ink:  Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler
supplies:  Paper Snips (to cut out the ornament), 2 Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

Note:  I used a pencil eraser inked into the Cherry Cobbler ink pad to make the little dot on December 25th, for Christmas!
 +++++
Yesterday Brayden & Nathan were here most of the day.  Brayden went with me to run errands.  We picked up our meat & groceries for our Christmas Eve supper tonight.  When they left I wrapped gifts & did some baking.
This morning I'll spend it in the kitchen & then I'll be setting up & getting ready for our Christmas that is here tonight.  The kids are all suppose to be here about 3:00.  We'll open gifts, eat supper & then will be going to mass tonight.

Deke was up early to chore & will spend the morning in the office- then hurry home to chore & get ready for our Christmas too!

I HOPE you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday on the Christmas Eve!
Happy Stamping!

We had a busy day yesterday.  Deke helped me & we finally got our tree up & all decorated.  I had to rearrange the Living Room furniture to make room for it- so it was a much bigger task than I had originally planned.  But it is done & looks very pretty!!
I got Steve & Nathan's hair cut!  The Seeley's ate lunch with us too.  And then Nathan & Brayden were here in the evening.  I got caught up on my farm bookwork.  But I didn't get any stamping done.

I'm off this morning to pick up the boys!  Deke is gone all day to meetings.  Brayden & Nathan will be here this evening.  I hope to get Christmas presents wrapped & some baking done.

I hope you have a MARVELOUS Monday!!

My September calendar......

Here is my September calendar.  This is one of my favorite sets in the Holiday Catalog.  And I just love these 2 colors together.  What a simple yet elegant calendar page.
stamp set:  'For All Things'
card stock:  Sahara Sand, Early Espresso & Whisper White
ink pad:  Early Espresso
supplies:  Early Espresso ribbon, Glue Dot, Dimensional & Extra Large Oval Punch

We had a fun night with Deke's family last night for our Wood Christmas.  It is so fun to see the little cousins together & the big ones too.  They all LOVED the bus ride & getting to see all of the Christmas lights around Ottumwa.  We also stopped in to see Santa at his house and had to laugh at Drake, as first thing he said when he saw this Santa is that- "That isn't the Santa that comes to G'ma Susie's house".

Santa with- Drake, Brody, Brayden, Riley & Collyns
(missing from this photo is Katie & Trey)

I'm off work today & home for a change- which rarely happens on a Sunday.  It won't be a quiet day- as Susie's Hair Hut is open for business.  Then Collyn's & Riley want to see Uncle Deke's piggies- so we'll have company for awhile today too.  And I hope to get to work on calendars that I want to give as Christmas gifts & we still have to put our tree up too!!

I hope you have a SUPER Sunday!!
Happy Stamping!

My August calendar......and making sugar cookies with the boys!

Here is my August calendar.  I love this little bumble bee.  And I love that our Honey Comb Embossing folder coordinates perfectly with our Hexagon Punch- so I used them both on this calendar page.
I'm sorry that you can't hardly see the embossing on this since it is in a clear envelope- (that was to protect it from getting any ink or anything on it during my classes).  But it is really pretty & cute in person!

stamp set:  'Sweet Stuff'
card stock:  Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
ink:  Black Memento pad
marker:  Crushed Curry
other:  Big Shot, Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Hexagon Punch, 1" Circle Punch, dimensionals, 2 Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

++++++
We had a FUN night last night!!  The boys were so EXCITED!!  We baked sugar cookies & then Santa came to visit us!  We enjoyed supper together & the boys got to all play together.  Here are some photos of our night together!

Trey eating some sugar cookies.
Brayden making balls & pressing out the sugar cookies.
Drake is helping to press out the sugar cookies too & being his silly self!
And here is Brody!
I think that he is eating more sugar cookie dough than he is helping to roll & press them out!

How BLESSED we are that we have 4 little guys that live so close to us & we get to spend time together doing little things like this with them!!  I know that I had 3 awesome Grandma's in my life when I was growing up.  They all lived close by & we got to see them often too.  One of them was my Great Grandma- now how cool is that!  I learned alot from all 3 of them & I treasure many fond memories with them- especially during this holiday season that is upon us.

I will post pictures of the boys with Santa tomorrow.  My internet is slow & taking forever to download & I've got to get to bed.  We had a GREAT time with Santa too!

This morning I'm headed to town to the post office & run some errands.  Then I'll be home cooking.  We have Deke's side of the family Christmas tonight at his brothers in Ottumwa.  We're gonna go on a bus ride around town to see all of the Christmas lights.  (And they got a couple inches of snow on Thursday- so that will make it prettier!)  Then we're going back to Doug's home for soup &  sandwiches & our Christmas exchange.  This year we're sad that we'll be missing one whole "WOOD" family that is now in New Jersey & Pennsylvania.   They will be with us in spirit, that is forsure.   I think the rest of us are planning to make it tonight.  So it'll be great to see everyone!!

I hope you have a SENSATIONAL Saturday!!
Happy Stamping!

My July calendar.....

Here is my July calendar.  What else could I have put on it but stars?  Check it out closely & you'll notice the star embossing folder too on it.
stamp set:  'Be the Star' & 'And Many More'
card stock:  Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, Whisper White
ink:  Cherry Cobbler
other:  Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (small star), Star framelits for large star- or cut it out with scissor snips, Big Shot, Lucky Stars Embossing Folder
Deke went with me last night on my monthly delivery run, so we did some Christmas shopping for the boys while we were in Iowa City.  It was a late night when we got home.  We just have a few things yet to pick up for Trey & we are done.  Now to find time to get our Christmas tree up & our house decorated, plus finish making the Christmas gifts that I have started.

Deke is off to meetings again today.  I'm off to pick up the boys now.  We are looking forward to our evening tonight & being home for a change!  Brayden will be here after school & get to spend the night with us tonight.  Manda, Steve & the boys will be here for supper too.  And then we have someone special coming to visit us- Santa!!  We are going to bake sugar cookies & hopefully get our tree put up before we go to bed.  Brayden is worried why I don't have our tree up yet- as I always put it up Thanksgiving weekend.  But that didn't happen this year as I had too many other things going on with my SU! business that I didn't get that far.

I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!!
Happy Stamping!!
