Happy 1st Birthday to Brody & Drake

Good morning!
Today we celebrate Brody & Drake's 1st Birthday!!
My how the past year has flown by.
We are so blessed to have them in our lives.
Deke & I are lucky that we live so close to all of our kids & grandkids & we get to see them on an almost daily basis.
A year ago I would have never dreamed our lives would be where we are today!
Brayden doesn't have preschool today, so he will spend the day with us too today.
I'll try to get a picture of the 3 of them to post tomorrow!

Here we are a year ago meeting our twin grandsons for the 1st time!!

Here is their birthday cards that I made for them.
We will have their big 1st Birthday Bash on Saturday.
The theme of their party is from Dr. Seuss- 'Thing 1 & Thing 2'.
I'm not much of a punch art person.....(I love my stamps)!!
But here are the cards that I made for the boys with Stampin' UP! supplies.
(some current & some retired)
Happy 1st Birthday to Brody & Drake!!

(These punch art guys kind of remind me of Richard Simmons!!  LOL!!)

Have a great day!!

More 'Googly Ghouls'

Good morning....

More 'Googly Ghouls' today.  I think this stamp set is so darn cute!  And Halloween is one of my favorite holidays too!

I love the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit that coordinated with this stamp set.  I used a piece out of that kit on my card today.  (The PRINTED white center circle that I stamped the spider onto & added googly eyes.)

'Googly Ghouls' & 'Tiny Tags'
cs: Pumpkin Pie, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black
2011-2013 Designer Series Paper Stack
ink:  Black Stazon
supplies:  Big Shot, Chevron embossing folder, 3" circle die, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch, Decorative Label punch, Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine, Jewelry Tag, Googly eyes, glue dot, dimensionals
The images on the PRINTED white circle are all there already-
except for the spider & googly eyes- which I added.
So you can stamp whatever image into the circles that you want to.
The back side of the white circle is printed too-
it has the black & pumpkin pie striped designer paper on it.
So this kit is very versatile & not just for Halloween.

The Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit includes:
  • 20 printed double sided tags. 10 each of 2 designs (ovals & circles)
  • 10 glassine bags with die cut edges.  Each 3" x 5" x 1 1/2"
  • 50 adhesive backed googly eyes (each 5 mm)
  • 10 pieces of Pumpkin Pie/White Baker's Twine- 8"
I have a fun day with the boys today.
They are so busy!!
Tomorrow they turn 1 year old & Brayden will be here to celebrate with us!
Can you believe that?
WOW- where did time go?
We are going to run to What Cheer to the bank & then to the cemetery.
I made a fall wreath to put on my dad's grave & want to get it over there.
We then sell 2 loads of  hogs tonight.
Have a great day!

We have lots to do around here......

Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday wishes today to Nathan!!  Can't believe that our son is 28 years old.  We are so proud of him & all of his accomplishments.  Hard to believe that he is all grown up & is a high school principal.  It seems like it was just yesterday that he was our little baby boy.

Below is a great picture of Nathan, Deke & Mark Sheetz.
They were at the races last week in Boone.

Mojo Monday- FALL

Good morning!

It is a Mojo Monday sketch...... and I am thinking of FALL!

This is what I came up with.
I wanted to use something new from the Holiday Catalog.
I really like this new 'Wonderfall' stamp set & haven't had a chance to play with it much yet.

So here is the weeks Mojo Monday sketch......
AND here is the card I created using this sketch!
What do you think??
 'Wonderfall' & 'Fabulous Phrases'
cs:  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Natural Ivory, Island Indigo
Orchard Harvest Designer Paper
ink:  Early Espresso & Island Indigo
supplies:  Big Shot, Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die, Woodgrain Embossing folder, Autumn Accents Bigz die, 1 3/8" square punch, Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon, Jewelry Tag punch, dimensionals, glue dots

We race in Osky tonight.
Nathan is 2nd in points & only behind by 4 points,
so it would be nice to come home with a win tonight.
Especially since tomorrow (Thursday) is his birthday!
What a nice present that would be!!
I'll have my fingers crossed that we have some good luck for a change.

The twins will be here all day today & spend the night tonight.
Since we get home so late from the races, it is just as easy to have them stay here than go home.
That way they will hopefully sleep in a little &
Manda & Steven won't have to get up in the middle of the night either.

They are still sick......yesterday was a long day.
Poor little guys!
We might be headed back to the dr. today too.
Brody has a rash all over him & they are still running fevers.
Will see what today brings.

Hope you have a fabulous day!!
Happy Stamping!
